I don't think it will. There will be issues with the neighbors, environmentalist, city issues and money.

They should have gone with the Soccer City proposal.

Ah, are they still planning on tearing down the old stadium? Also I think you guys should try and get this board up and running. It would be nice to hear some more MWC fans opinions on things.

That is the plan to tear it down.

Well if you, Jjoey, and thespywhozaggedme go to your teams boards and maybe try and get people to come here and post, it may start this board up.

Also, guests, if you are a MWC fan, don't hesitate to make an account and start posting on here. It will only help the board get on its feet.

I hope so. The Aztecs need a decent stadium after dealing with Qualcomm (SDCCU Stadium now?) for so long.

Yep. They have a good fanbase too, routinely average in the 40k range for attendance.

Biggest reason why I refuse to go near that area during game weekends! With the loss of the Chargers, that leaves the Aztecs as any real form of football entertainment here. I think their fanbase is going to expand with a new stadium.

Looks like a decent render and appropriate size.

I'm planning to attend the BYU @ SDSU game this November...before they tear the old stadium down. And, San Diego and the surrounding area offer a lot of fun activities.
