Couldn't resist.

Given the fact the shelf life of a hot dog is half a millennium,
I'm not sure the cruise liner industry executives are exactly
on par with being rocket scientists here.
NIU can simply multiply the capacity of the stadium by 4 hot dogs
which is the maximum capacity any human should consume of tubular meat
in a 24 hour period (without crapin down ones pant leg) and if there is any
left over, slice em up and throw them in some baked beans for the chow
lines at the dorms. Too easy....weenies and beanies.

You all hate the poor folks at concessions... if my friends who work there now read this haha

Wanted a polish sausage yesterday but they didn't have them. Had to settle for a hot dog.

How could you run out of polish sausage with such a sparse attendance?

At the end of the first quarter, they were out of hot dogs and polish sausages in the main concourse.

Here we go again! Another hot dog shortage crisis. Going downstairs to concessions for hot dogs takes people’s minds off the fiasco on the field. At least they better get this shortage fixed!

You are joking? Right.

Nope. I asked for a hot dog, and they said there weren't any. Then I asked for a polish. None of those. Then they gave me a hot dog and said this was the last one.

I'm sure they weren't out for the game at that point, but to have a food stand without either is pretty effing embarrassing.

Is this Ethiopia? The famines are getting to be a regular thing.

Before Homecoming, I will call or write to Athletics and tell them to be sure to have enough hot dogs and Polish sausages for all 8,000* fans who will be attending the game.


* Prediction of 8,000 fans is based on perfect weather conditions. But since we know that won't happen, true attendance is predicted in the 5K - 6K range.

Sometime in the second half as the wheels were coming off and the rain was coming down....Anybody else hear a “Hot Dog” promo announcement like they were going to throw them in the stands? And then nothing happened...

I got a free hot dog from that. The guy throwing them out was already in the stands tossing them out. Helped I was one of like 10 people on the east side.

They were fresh at the Illinois State game. Maybe they got stale waiting for the next game.

That was on the East side on the 50. I got one along with 10-15 of the people seating in that section.

Oddly enough they were the best hotdogs I have had at Huskie Stadium in years...maybe ever. Not sure how they mess up the ones you pay with stale buns and these were hot and fresh but not soggy.
