Exclamation THAT WAS A BIG W.....
I don’t know if people realize the magnitude of that game on the road.... but to play with that amount of determination after beating NAVY and facing Temple was impressive, to say the least.... ULM is a talented team, that doesn’t quit just because they’re down.... They didn’t on the road against Iowa State and Florida State and they actually showed MORE resolve at home....

I’m impressed at what took place and look forward to the upcoming matchups as we’re finally seeing a team that has dimensions that constitute a complete unit and that can carry us a good distance in this battle.... Their coach also had lots of praise for our fans that took the road trip.... So KUDOS to our travelers that supported our beloved Tiger Team

ULM Coach reaction

RE: THAT WAS A BIG W.....
This was a big win because it took pressure of us to win "the cupcakes". The rest of our schedule is against conference teams, any of which can beat us any weekend.

If we lose a couple of these it is no great disgrace.

All the best to the Tigers!!!

He really said good stuff about our team around 7:00+ min marks and gave kudos to our special team and our kicker to pull that off. Very good and well discipline team per coach.

I dont consider any of our FBS opponents to be cupcakes, especially when we play them on the road. We arent an upper-level SEC or B10 team with a massive size advantage on the lines that can physically dominate any decent FBS opponent. I was really worried we’d lose to either USA or ULM & to come thru that unscathed is a big plus & should help our team with upcoming conference road games.

I think they're actually a talented football team that does not quit(ask Florida State). This was not a cupcake and will serve us well when they win their conference.

That conversion thing where we went for 2 was confusing. lol All of our guys, except about 3, lined up on the right--seemingly pretending to be the ones who would have the ball... to kick it...? i'm guessing.

Then suddenly the guys on the left somehow got into the endzone. lol

Note the quotes around cupcakes. Reading this board iit seems cupcakes are defined as any team in a conference deemed below us home or away. Using that criteria we have won two of five against non cupcakes.

Appy State beats Carolina, Carolina takes Clemson to the wire. Every week there are games against CUSA or Sunbelt teams that seems to surprise everyone but by now it should not anymore. You can't sleep on these teams because it will bite you. Played both on the road ,which is crazy scheduling, and came out with W's. Gainwell is turning into a freak, that was an incredible performance. Special teams once again kept us in the game. Can't seem to break that issue with mobile QB's although it was a defensive play that sealed the game.

Big Win because it was a classic trap game and while we did not play up to our potential at times. We made the plays when needed.

Well the fact is that many on here think most of our conference mates are cupcakes and unworthy of our presence on the field with them, so those people will wail with disgrace if we lose one, much less a couple.

I'm sorry you thought that was sarcasm. Actually I'm not sorry at all.

Back to the play. I've watched this two pt conversion many times now...even in slomo, and I got a guy who played football to watch.... but the camera cuts away at an odd time.

I don't think the War Hawks had a clue what was happening...
It was a great play. But I still can't figure out exactly what we did because the camera doesn't show where all of the players lined up.

Somehow our guy just did it.

Another one that was magnificent was the kicker getting the onside kick.

Two cases of Norvell rolling the dice on trick plays, and being successful. If they don’t work he looks like a goat.

Coach has nerve/moxie/stones.

My biggest surprise is doing both (onside and 2pt) in that game. They were great plays, but not really needed. Figured he might pull those out later against conference teams who wouldn’t be prepared for them. Then, I thought he prolly has more trickery up his sleeve and is just making game planning that much harder for future opponents.
