So did Nebraska buy out the 2021 game or will it just be pushed back?
Looks like the 2023 game vs Nebraska is still on the schedule.

Funny, going to ATL/Macon tomorrow.
Would prefer to battle the other red and black dogs but this is at least winnable.
Bears play in ATL next year, albeit I think a return to Nashville for Bears next year will be warranted.[/u]
Tough decisions!

Good job on scheduling this. Anyone know what the payout is?
I certainly hope this is not a home-and-home series. NIU desperately needs the money, not just teams to fill the schedule. The GT and Michigan games will certainly help the financial situation. They just need more of these big games - as many as possible.

RE: NIU at Georgia Tech in 2021 just announced
Here's the contract agreement for Michigan in 2021 as well.
https://www.mlive.com/wolverines/2019/01...arbor.html
Quote:Michigan will pay NIU $1.5 million in four equal installments of $375,000 for its Sept. 18, 2021, game at Michigan Stadium, according to the game contract obtained by MLive. The first payment is due on or before March 31, 2019, with each subsequent payment due March 31 of the following year.
A $1.5 million cancellation fee is in effect and, like WMU, NIU will receive 400 complimentary tickets and have the option to purchase 3,600 more at the single-ticket price.

Beautiful! NIU will be filling it’s cash register with badly needed cash. Can you imagine the cash flowing in if they can play 4 of these games per year? My goodness, in 5 years they may even be able to replace the urinal troughs with 1980’s individual urinals!

Maybe Northern can make a deal with Portland, Ore., which recently banned urinals in public restrooms in its $195 million remodeling job at the Portland Building, so as to be more "gender-neutral."

Agree, but Screw the urinal trough, maybe we can strengthen the Football program.

Excellent agreement with Georgia Teck. Temple beat them 24-2 this year.
Hopefully this will be another Bone victory!

The roster is gutted, upside down, built for the triple option but running a pro spread. This year was all lined up to be a train wreck and it is. But if you look at GT's recruiting ... the roster you're going to face is going to be, by every quantifiable way, at least one standard deviation better. GT has no QBs who have shown they can pass. They have, after 2 season ending surgeries last week, 5 scholarship seniors available on the entire roster. The offensive line is STARTING walk ons due to depletion and injury. However ... Collins has already recruited one ENTIRE offensive and defensive line in his first full class. He recruited more 4* players via transfer in his first few weeks on the job than Paul Johnson managed to recruit in his entire decade+ tenure at GT. In that brief cycle last season he had a 5* transfer at DE from Florida immediately .... that's pretty much month one a better player than PJ ever got and the best since Calvin Johnson at GT. While Collins is the HC, the man behind the man in Atlanta is George O'Leary. Collins himself started at GT under O'Leary ... came back to GT where as recruiting coordinator he had the best class GT ever signed and then Saban gave him blood money to recruit for Bama instead after one year.
GT will be young-ish in 2021 .... but they won't be talent depleted mess they are now. They should be in fact quite dangerous by then.

Georgia Teck is one of the Nations proudest football programs with an incredible history.
Thank-you for scheduling us.
Many P5 teams refuse to schedule us.
Thank-you for this great board and the great job you do.
I will be routing for Georgia Teck from now on(accept when you play NIU!).
Looking forward to attending the game!

Probably not enough for urinals and partitions though, that's just nonsense.
