Questions!
Hey Trojans,

Glad there's finally going to be a little more Wrestling convo this year with y'all joining the fun. But I had a question about other sports you might possibly start in the future. Is Men's Soccer a possibility? With Central Ark playing Men's Soccer in the Belt it would make travel a lot easier for other schools, and give a real good instate game for y'all both.

Good luck in your Pac12 wrestling Debut!

Don’t see it happening. We would need to start Women’s Softball (which I would love) but I don’t see us financially being able to do that.

RE: Questions!
I agree that I would love to see softball. I am looking forward to attending a wrestling event. I have never been to one. What should we expect Yosef?

Well, you'll pick up on the general rules/gist within the first couple matches so don't worry if you're going into it with no knowledge of wrestling.

I love the fact that matches last less than 2 hours (usually much less) and lots of individual excitement in each match.

Greg Hatcher is passionate about the sport, he is also well funded. He paid for a number of high schools in Arkansas to start the sport and then gave some assistance to some schools who came into the sport later.

He had met with the AD's at Arkansas, Arkansas State, Little Rock, and Central Arkansas about starting wrestling and Little Rock was interested. One report indicated he's carrying the financial burden for the team so that it is fully funded and he's funding 9.9 women's scholarships in addition to the 9.9 men's scholarships for wrestling to ease Title IX concerns.

His son Layne is starting QB at AState and was undefeated as a high school wrestler. There was speculation that when he left Bama that he would go to Little Rock to wrestle.

Unless someone out there has the passion to fund it men's soccer is improbable.

I'm pumped! Will LR be producing a stream of the match? Do you have your own TrojanTV or something?
