I picked Ball State over FAU for Week 3. I was that disgusted with our performance against UCF in week 2.

MTSU (1-2) @ #14 Iowa (3-0) Iowa -24.5 Ia too much for MTSU

FAU (2-2) @ Charlotte (2-2) FAU -1 Flip a coin

Cincinnati (2-1) @ Marshall (2-1) Cincy -2.5 Going with dog Marshall at home

East Carolina (2-2) @ ODU (1-2) ODU -1 ODU is playing much better than record

UTEP (1-2) @ Southern Miss (2-2) USM -26.0 UTEP is about as from away from Alabama as possible

UAB (3-0) Western Kentucky (1-2) UAB -3 UAB easy oc schedule has not convinced me

LaTech (3-1) @ Rice (0-4) LT -10.0 Rice has got to get an offense

Houston (1-3) @ North Texas (2-2) UNT -6.0 Would have went with NT if UH qb was still playing

NOON MTSU (1-2) @ #14 Iowa (3-0) - I had hopes for MTSU but now looking like Mediocre Tenn under Stockstill. Look for the Hawkeyes to roll by 20.

3:30PM FAU (2-2) @ Charlotte (2-2) - Kiffin and the Owls have been quiet and have to go into Charlotte and face a 49er's team that has been playing pretty well other than getting pounded by Clemson but all other CUSA teams would too. I will say the Owls eek one out by 3.

5PM Cincinnati (2-1) @ Marshall (2-1) - Cincinnati looks to be fools gold after a mediocre win over Miami but Marshall struggled against an Ohio team that ULL had little trouble with. Slight edge to Cincinnati by 3.

6PM East Carolina (2-2) @ ODU (1-2) - ODU has looked pretty decent against VaTech & UVA while ECU has 2 FCS wins, so I look for ODU to pull one out despite Stone not having a stellar season so far. Monarchs by 7.

7PM UTEP (1-2) @ Southern Miss (2-2) - UTEP struggles have continued and Abraham played pretty solid against the Tide. USM by 24.

7PM UAB (3-0) Western Kentucky (1-2) - Storey gets the nod as the Toppers QB and moves the offense but UAB has the advantage of the experienced coaching staff and makes the adjustments needed. Dragons by 6.

7PM LaTech (3-1) @ Rice (0-4) LT - By looking at records you would think LaTech will dominate but the Rice Owls have other ideas. Expect a close game and the Bulldogs escape by 1.

8PM Houston (1-3) @ North Texas (2-2) - King is out so Houston is starting a new QB and Fine has the edge so look for the Mean Green to prevail by 12.

I notice a trend this week and it makes me wonder how much emotion plays into people's picks.

Taking Marshall posters out of the equation, the picks for the Marshall UC game are

Cincinnati - 25
Marshall - 18

The interesting thing - WKU and Charlotte posters are

Cincinnati - 11
Marshall - 0

I'm certainly not saying their pick is wrong, just that in a game that has a spread of less than a FG it's an interesting stat.
