Obviously Saturday night is expensive everywhere around town. There is a nice Comfort Suites in Barboursville next to the Huntington Mall. Cheaper places in the same general area are a Days Inn and Red Roof off of US 60. Further toward Charleston there is a casino with area hotels in Cross Lanes, WV.

According the Marshall fans on one of their boards, the ticket sales are tracking for a big crowd. As of right now they are still 3-4 thousand short of a sell out, would expect there to be a decent walk-up crowd.

Just bought my tickets and there are plenty on the herd site. Go get em. Good tickets at a great price.

Would have been nice with both teams coming off byes for a network ESPN or CBS to have scheduled this as a Wednesday night game. American Conference probably would have vetoed such an idea because it would have gave us a couple extra days to prepare for UCF.

C-USA TV deal sucks. According to this article, the majority of their FB games are on Facebook, Stadium and BeInSports, with CBS Sports Network covering a fewothers.

We should not be scheduling any C-USA teams home and home if this is the media deal will limit our exposure to Facebook or BeIn Sports.

RE: Um...Is Anyone Going to Huntington?
Curious if anyone is sitting in or considering the General Admission section.. surprises me they're $25 compared to $40-$45 for the rest of the stadium but they also seem to be the tickets with the most availability.. normally cheapest sell first.

CBSSN gets first choice
Stadium second
NFLN gets last.

The network that gets the rights can put it on any platform they choose. The league nor Marshall are involved in that.

Any advice about game day parking? Locals are telling me to Uber.

11 years ago I found street parking a block from the stadium. There were lots near as well. Of course uber is never a bad plan if close.

Hillbilly Hotdogs in Lesage: Whoo hoo!

So I should expect to be among a dozen Bearcat fans attending what could make for a long ride home?

where are you getting tickets? I plan to go.

Bought them on Marshall’s site. $45 apiece near the middle of the field. Tons of tickets available.

https://herdzone.com/

anyone been to the Bahnhof Wursthaus there? Any good?

to answer my own question, Bahnhof rocks. It belongs in OTR

I don't know about anyone else's experiences, but I was quite impressed by the Marshall fanbase. I talked to a number of Marshall fans at the game, and they were some of the friendliest and most gracious opposing fans I have met. They were absolutely nothing like WVU fans, who have a horrible reputation (which they've earned).

I had nothing but good experiences.

on a side note, that’s the best I’ve ever heard UC’s band.

Great experience and an incredible tailgate. The Marshall crowd offered free beer and sodas. On the way out I got a flat tire, and i needed a pry bar. The kid at the taco bar graciously lent me his crow bar and stated you beat us by forty and you ask for help leaving town. Will go back.
