History vs Marshall Football
I love Marshall football! In 1971 when they returned, they beat Xavier and the loss was sooo humiliating the Xavier cancelled football :)

Anyways, Cincinnati was won 8 of 12 vs Marshall. Fun fact - 4 of the last 5 games have had a safety scored. Odd! Also fun - two of Cincinnati's current coaches have made big contributions to past wins - Mickens and Guidugli

Good stuff! I was at that 1997 Motor City bowl. It was painful. My one takeaway is that UC fans were in basketball mode, cheering loud when we were on offense. Our fans have come a long way since then. Regardless, my college friends and I stayed in Windsor and had a bit of a good time on a student budget despite the bad football "bowl" game.

I was there, too. The Marshall fans were total jerkoffs. I have hated them ever since.

My granddaughter's elementary teacher is a huge Xavier fan. I told my granddaughter to say, "I root for X's football team every time they play a game." 02-13-banana
