That's not an excuse, it's a fact. Anyone expecting us to have a good record against those programs, always at their place, with 22 less scholarships is simply not being realistic. When you consider App is just now getting to where we have FBS level talent 2 deep, it's borderline unbelievable what we have accomplished over the last 5 years. It's not like we've been 1-A /FBS for 20+ years.

Attempting to diffuse any building tension...I meant "we" as a fanbase and "we" as college football fans in general have a tendency to make excuses or play the "if" game. "If y'all didn't get 3 turnovers y'all wouldn't have won" as if turnovers aren't part of the game. So, I wasn't clear enough with my point there.

What App has accomplished is incredible, but NDSU continues to pick up P5 scalps with 22 fewer scholarships. I know they aren't taking on top 15 programs every year but they're still getting those W's. That's a fact. Also a fact is App has been in positions to win those games and hasn't. That's another fact.

I just don't put too much credence in qualifiers. "We lost but...", "We would've won if...". Those things don't mean anything because in the end the result is the result.

NDSU is a hell of a program - and I think them going to FBS will happen sooner rather than later.

NDSU is only "close" to the footprint of the MAC, which will be their problem in moving up

The no call in the endzone when the NC WR tripped...

My favorite call was the PI on App when our DB made a great play on the ball and tipped the ball a yard in front of their WR. Classic.

Also the UC penalty on Akeem when the UNC player tried to late hit him and instead got "little boy'd" A LA Marshawn Lynch TD run against the Saints.

Based on the points he made in the first article, Charlotte is better than UNC. Charlotte scored 41 in Boone, UNC only scored 31 in Chapel Hill.

UNC's status in the state? For the past 4 years, they've been the 5th best team in the state, usually behind us, Wake, NC State, ECU, and Duke. There may have been times NC A&T could have beat them.

TBH I'd favor A&T over the lower half of NC FBS football 9/10 times

Its funny, the article only has 8 comments in the section below, they are all negative against Art, I tried to leave one to, to also point out his arrogance but he must have the comments turned off now, so that you can't add anymore to it lol.

They'd do well. But they're in no man's land. Wont get a MAC or MWC invite. It's independent or bust.

I've tried twice to put my comment in but keeps getting rejected. Perhaps because I keep using Fatz Thomas as my name...

The point was that people continuously say "the people from Boone" without realizing the population of Boone is less than half of what it is on Game Day. Simple conclusion to draw.

Dude works for a fan site. They get paid by clicks. Does he come off as a stereotypical condescending tarhole douche? Yes, but technically he's just doing his job.

No tension in the least. Unlike the uncheat fans, I'm certainly not making excuses. I'll give NDSU credit for wins over K State in '13 & Iowa (the only ranked team they've EVER played) in '16. However Beating 3-9 Kansas & Minnesota and a 2-10 Iowa State isn't comparable to the teams App was playing as a FCS. In seven games against P5's Five were to Top 25 teams. That's a tough row to hoe in anybody's book.

2005 - Kansas 7-5 & #5 LSU
2006 - NCSU 3-9 (How they beat #21 Boston College & #FSU is a mystery to me)
2007 - Michigan #5
2008 - LSU #7
2010 - Florida #24 - Started the season #4
2011 - VA Tech #17
2013 - Georgia #15
