Any nice or fancy restaurants in dekalb?
Hey guys was wondering if you guys have any restaurant recommendations for dekalb. I’m a season ticket holder from Schaumburg so usually me and the wife just go home after the games, but the Akron game is on her birthday weekend so I figured we’d stay in dekalb for the weekend instead of making the immediate drive back. Any cool restaurants or things to do? (I’m usually just there for my huskie sports)

Tavern on Lincoln in downtown DeKalb and Ellwood Steak and Fish House come to mind

Be nice if they built that Shodeen Marriot on Lincoln downtown as planned, would be perfect for post-game overnighters...

O'Leary's downtown is a good place for a drink.

No longer exists. Closed over a year ago. Did they open someplace else?

My favorite restaurant in DeKalb. Cozy and intimate, and the food is good. Another good choice.

If you go, you may want to make reservations. As with all restaurants in DeKalb/Sycamore, it gets very crowded on a Saturday night.

I’ll definitely be doing that, thanks for the insight.

You might want to go online and look at menus with prices. Things can add up quickly. Hillside will let you bring your own wine.

Is Tom & Jerrys still around? I know its not fancy but I had a great ham and cheese on pita one time before a Huskie versus Rockets game.
