I was told by an insider that the ACCN frontloaded games and special series/shows of teams within Comcast's footprint to apply subtle pressure. They knew all along they would be the toughest but to crack.

Subtle? I don’t think there’s anything subtle about it.

In a little over a month, we're going to have some basketball pressure being applied also. ACC fans with Xfinity may be able to get through most of football season with free trials from the different streaming services, but that's going to be tougher to do during basketball season.

I wouldn't anticipate massive ad revenue from the first few months. The ads I'm seeing on Vue during Packer and Durham are very "late night TV"-ish. Oxygen tank refillers. Incontinence products. Niche pharmaceuticals.

I can now get behind Packer constantly hounding (no pun intended) ESPN sales for obvious slam dunk sponsorships like Bojangles or Chewy.

Louisville makes its live debut on the ACCN by taking down #2 Georgetown 1-0 in 2OT in mens soccer.

Yep. I saw the end of regulation and the beginning of the first OT - then I had to put my kids to bed.

ATT Uverse has now added ACCN. That leaves Comcast as the only large carrier who hasn't gotten on board. I hope Disney has some big guns they can train on Comcast.

Where was that announced? I can't find anything about it yet...

I haven't seen anything official yet either. All I've seen so far are some posts on a Clemson message board where people say it is now showing up. I also see this post.

https://forums.att.com/t5/Watching-U-ver...-p/6010885

Maybe an official statement is still in the works.

I haven't seen anything with regards to AT&T TV NOW either. So, I'm not sure if this new agreement covers it or not.

Multiple people on Twitter are saying it's on channels 610 and 1610 on Uverse.

And here's a news source saying it.

Seems to me that AT&T should be jumping into the state of Florida with some enticing deals for people who switch from Comcast to AT&T. Are they not an option in FL and other areas with Comcast?

Indeed - it's a good business opportunity. I think the problem for Comcast customers is the price of internet-only service (if there even is such an option) pretty much makes Comcast internet + a streaming service like PS Vue or YouTube non-competitive.

DirecTV (or Dish) satellite bypasses Comcast entirely, though - provided they can still get internet somehow. That's where AT&T comes in - DSL. In Charlotte they have a satellite TV + DSL internet bundle that's $60 first year then $120 second year (2-year contract). Average price $90 = not bad.

Actually with Spectrum, I got internet with "Lifeline" TV basically only locals cheaper than just internet. Thank God the finally put fiber in and could tell spectrum to go to hell. Worst customer service I ever had. What most people fail to include is the extra boxes if they want more than one outlet. Once you buy your own modem and streaming device, the monthly hardware fees are gone.

ACCN isn’t the only conference network with a carriage problem. BTN now has one with Dish.

It may not matter, but Fox has lost a little leverage now that they don't have the FX and Nat Geo networks, nor the Fox RSNs.

Does any one have Dish?

Weren't they advertising last year or the year before that they aired every NCAA game?

I remember seeing that. I guess Dish doesn't care about blanket NCAA coverage any more.

If the BTN starts having leverage problems in negotiations then Fuhrer Mickey might be horrifyingly the only player you can get in bed with.
