Saint Leo Hires Collegiate Consultants In Bringing Football to The School

We may see if we get another D2 school on getting football. They are one of the very largest private schools in Florida.

It seems their new AD accomplished this within a few months of his hiring:

They start in 2020. The information is found in the secondary headline of this article from the primary source; Inaugural Season to begin in 2020

Stepped onto UHCL's campus today. They're Southland material.

Just kidding but I'd be humerous if UH's system sisters added major sports.

They got a break with Nashville building a MLS soccer stadium only 2 miles from campus.

The stadium is also 2 miles from Belmont, 4 miles from Lipscomb

At the same time Trevecca looking at adding football, Belmont, Lipscomb, Lee and Union Tennessee all were looking into it at the same time. Lee passed on football. I wonder if the other 3 schools might jump in adding the sport?

It is an April's Fools Day joke. At the bottom, click the link to find out more, and it says April's Fool.

Great April Fools' Day joke. Still undefeated since 1901.

I just saw this and it caught my attention. I visited Mt. Marty years ago. Nice school in a nice town. So looked on the school's website.

They hired Mike Woodley as their 1st Head Coach, the man who built Grand View University's football program from the ground up 11 years ago. In its 6th year they won the NAIA national championship. Since 2011 GVU has always finished in the top 20, usually the top 10. (GVU is currently rated #9.)

Man, if you're serious about building a NAIA football team, they got the right guy!
