This is basing my rankings off of the first two weeks combined and also taking into account how the opponents that the teams have played so far have faired. I am taking into account proven history of players/coaches and injuries.

1. UL
2. Troy
3. StAte
4. ULM
5. App
6. Georgia State
7. Georgia Southern
8. Coastal
9. USA
10. Texas State

With that said, I think Texas State will be better than USA and Coastal based off of what I've seen by year's end. I'll say this though, the conference is wide open this year and STRONG.

As of right now, GS is middle of the road team until adjustments can be made.

I have no problems with GSU dropping in the rankings, for the record03-lmfao

Tennessee is bad, period. Furman would have a great shot to beat Tennessee if they played right now. They probably would. Furman is pretty explosive. Both the GS-Maine win and the GSU-Furman wins are quality wins regardless of FCS.

Yeah, not sure how GS is ranked 9th after that win. Sure it was FCS, but it was top of the line FCS...and we won with backups at major positions. GSUs game was also exciting. Furman doesn’t have the rank of Maine yet, but it looks like they’ll get there by years end.

Why isn't stAte #1? 43-17 on a MWC team on the road is epic. SMU is good.

I'll agree with you this one time lol. Great job last night. The spread was a pickem if I recall, and you guys lead by 33 late in the game.

My honest opinion: I believe Blake being back gave them an incredible boost. They will play with a chip on their shoulder for Wendy the rest of the season if I were a betting man.

When I added to my bet after hearing Blake was back the line was A-State -1.5.

App and GS fighting for who has underperformed the most, both solidly 5-7 in the power rankings.

RE: Week 2 Power Ratings
It’s early and we don’t have much to go by, but I think ULM is pretty damn good this year. I think we challenge for the West again. Need to go beat Iowa St. SBC is damn tough this year though. Proud of this conference.

Exactly. UNLV isn’t a very good team.

RE: Week 2 Power Ratings
When these Power ratings began I was under the impression that they weren't a ranking system per say. I remember it being stated as the perception of how well a team had done to that point. It was not a ranking system in that it did not take into place anything other than the performance to date. That doesn't seem to be the case now......so which is it? How they've done thus far? Or how well we predict they will do?
