I don’t know why the arm strength thing is even a debate. I thought it was just a fact that Brady doesn’t have as strong of an arm as our previous 2 QBs. That and he doesn’t throw as well on the run. Nothing to argue about really. Kinda like saying I’m not 6’7”.

BTW does anyone know who is killing Southern? BW

Fans want him to be good so I’m not sure what your point is. Southern is not a very good team.

Maybe brag when Brady leads us to a big time win?

The point is, for all you arm chair coaches who claimed last week that Brady can't throw the long ball, you're simply wrong. When he has decent protection and can step into his throw, he throws a very nice long ball. Conner played well today too, but Brady had a very good game.

They definitely aren't doing a great job of scanning. Our group of 8, only 2 were scanned. The line wasn't even that busy.

He did not look good against Ole Miss and has looked bad against other teams in the rain. I’m sure there have been other times as well, but keep acting like Brady is Dan Marino b/c he had a nice game against a trash team.

Guess what? He’s gonna get pressured and will have to throw on the run. That’s part of being a QB. Sometimes you don’t have the luxury to stand in the pocket forever and put all your weight into a throw.

FWIW, I want us to win all of our games so I hope he proves all of the naysayers wrong. I’d rather be wrong and us win than be right and his deficiencies be the reason we lose.

We all know what you think Shirley. You are one of the ultimate armchair coaches.

As to your buddy on the previous post, learn to read. I didn't say Brady was Dan Marino. I said that when he has decent protection and is able to step into his throw, he throws a very nice long ball. That is the truth. You and all the other armchair coaches were losing your minds last week saying that he couldn't throw down field due to lack of arm strength. That is simply not the case.

He can rarely elude any pass rush. The elite teams have the QB's that have the ability of, not only escaping pressure, but running for yardage. BW's mobility is so limited, it's like playing offense a man down. I'm not trashing BW. just hoping we maybe have other options. If BW is the best we got, then so be it. Adair was impressive today. He looked about as well as he could. Small sample size.

His mobility is not as bad as you are making it out. I’ve been watching Tiger football for more years than I would care to remember and I can think of numerous QBs we’ve had over the years not as mobile as White. It’s not his strong suit but he is by far the best we have now and to be hammered by so called Tiger fans for a full week after 2 wins and a great game today, I’m floored.

It shows the inherent meanness in this forum and a part of our fan base. Name one basketball coach who was not vilified when he left this job or on his own except Gene Bartow (and had Spook given him $5K a year more, he would have stayed and had a drop off and eventually would have left under intense criticism like all the others). Football coaches are about the same situation. Many on here criticize Fuente even now. The man was the coach when our program was resurrected.

This is typical: Tinman saw Adair throw about 7 passes vs an FCS team at the end of the game when their D was gassed and had some scrubs in and posts:

“OK I’ve seen enough to know I’d like to see more Adair, particularly if White struggles later in the season against stiffer competition.” One of the nicer posts.

Constant criticism of players- most of us have done it (including me) but make your point and move on rather than having a 8 day thread about it with some posters bashing the kid multiple times. I’m off my soapbox.

these are just my opinions of BW's ability. Never intend to bash a kid. i think some may go too far, but I feel some of us are just wondering if, in the long run, we may have a better option at QB. A QB with a higher ceiling. At this point, BW is what he is. With protection, very capable. Against a NY6 opponent? I'm afraid, without mobility, that could get embarrassing.

It was nice to see both Dudes throw a Deep Ball
Brady had a nice game and nice to know we have a good backup
I think we best let Coach Norvell decide what players start at every position

While both QBs tossed a few nice deep passes, neither had any real velocity on the passes. It works under certain circumstances. There were no bullets being thrown around.

So many bitchin threads... so little time.
