Barring injury, White is the QB this year. Hopefully next season, QB competition is wide open.

BW looked really good today. He is very capable when he has protection. The problem is that when protection breaks down, he has no chance. He can rarely elude any pass rush. The elite teams have the QB's that have the ability of, not only escaping pressure, but running for yardage. BW's mobility is so limited, it's like playing offense a man down. I'm not trashing BW. just hoping we maybe have other options. If BW is the best we got, then so be it. Adair was impressive today. He looked about as well as he could. Small sample size.

And, before anyone talks about how good this team is... it is a d2 school, even if it is one of the best d2 schools, they still suck.

D2 or not does not change the fact that he hit several DEEP THROWS right on target when you and many others say he does not have the arm strength to throw the deep ball. The opponent does not change arm strength.

His mobility is not as bad as you are making it out. I’ve been watching Tiger football for more years than I would care to remember and I can think of numerous QBs we’ve had over the years not as mobile as White. It’s not his strong suit but he is by far the best we have now and to be hammered by so called Tiger fans for a full week after 2 wins and a great game today, I’m floored.

It shows the inherent meanness in this forum and a part of our fan base. Name one basketball coach who was not vilified when he left this job or on his own except Gene Bartow (and had Spook given him $5K a year more, he would have stayed and had a drop off and eventually would have left under intense criticism like all the others). Football coaches are about the same situation. Many on here criticize Fuente even now. The man was the coach when our program was resurrected.

This is typical: Tinman saw Adair throw about 7 passes vs an FCS team at the end of the game when their D was gassed and had some scrubs in and posts:

“OK I’ve seen enough to know I’d like to see more Adair, particularly if White struggles later in the season against stiffer competition.” One of the nicer posts.

Constant criticism of players- most of us have done it (including me) but make your point and move on rather than having a 8 day thread about it with some posters bashing the kid multiple times. I’m off my soapbox.

BTW he is now 7th in career TD passes after 16 games.

Starting quarterback goes 17-21 for 337 yards, people say “It’s just Southern he sucks”.

Backup quarterback goes 6-7 for 61 yards against same team- “He’s awesome”.

I agree that BW is having a good game, but I'm not ready to crown him yet because he made a couple of good passes against a low-level FCS team.

I like the improvements that have been made (even the concerted effort to go more downfield), but will temper my excitement of QB1 until the 26th when we face another opponent to our level.

South Alabama will not be an easy game. First away game and they gave Nebraska a pretty good game last week.
