Open up all the gates for F's sake.
I wonder if they cannot open them all.
It seems odd to have them remain closed.

If there is break in the concrete they can figure out how to open the gate if they have even a lick of sense.......

Maybe a surreptitious phone call to the Fire Marshall to enlighten him to the egress issues may be in order. I know when I was going to school and working at a fast food place with double doors they both had to be unlocked/unlatched while we were open per city fire code so the inhabitants could get out quickly in an emergency. May be apples and oranges, but what could it hurt?

Is Lenny's on its way down/out? I noticed their presence in the LB has ended. It wasn't a good idea anyway. Sub-sammie at a football game? But since they sold out to a corporate buyer, they have steadily gone downhill in my opinion.

Sound system was greatly improved, it wasn't until halfway through the first half I realized I hadn't complained about the sound system once. It was never an issue the entire game. Huge improvement!

Sounds like there was a ton of improvement. They let us bring our own water and they gave us good sound.

Exactly what is the reasoning for this idiotic move?

Because there was a bottleneck there going out, and that is never a good thing, esp. in case of an emergency. I do believe those "gates" may be fences, but whatever it takes, it was poor planning and should be corrected ASAP

Just like smelling someone who likes to poot in my face or smelling someone who hasn’t bathed in a month, I prefer not to have to smell a stinky cigarette.
I don't want my 7-year-old granddaughters inhaling this stuff, smokers be damned. Cancer is no joke.

Your reason is the main reason of all reasons......
But that stink gets into my clothes and even my hair..... people who smoke don't even know how badly they ooze that stale toxic smell.
I can't figure out if it's coming from their clothing that never gets clean... or the toxins are oozing out their pores.
I feel bad for nicotine addicts.

I am a smoker, and I like to think that I respect other's air space. If your restaurant, bar, theater, sports venue, airport, or any private property says I need to leave an area to smoke: I will.
The last time I checked: The Liberty Bowl has designated smoking areas (as does the forum). The thing I find ironic is: The smoking is outdoors, and my 'designated smoking area' is right next to three 55 gallon bar-b-q grills that cook and smoke all game long.
I'm not here to advocate smoking. I just thinks it's silly that 50 or so smokers can produce so much "bad smoke' (1 part per like one billionth of our atmosphere) is more destructive than the bbq grills, the tanks cooking your funnel cakes, the buses that idle in the lot all game, the 40,000 (maybe) cars that show up, and the general atmosphere of a commuter town...

Er, nice try.
Good lord people.
The newest take is other things are bad for you so leave us alone
There are a helluva lot more than 50 smokers, and a whole lot of them smoke outside of the dedicated areas
Legal habit, enjoy it, but it simply sucks for the rest of us

RE: Liberty Bowl Grade ?
Apparently Gate three is the busiest gate. Combine game time arrivals and Tiger Lane residents entering in the last 15 minutes before kickoff it’s going to get crowded. Lines are going to occur. I got there later than usual and there was a massive crowd. It took maybe 5 minutes to get inside. While waiting and moving at a slow and steady pace I talked to people I had never met. The staff was pleasant. They let us keep our water bottles.
The west side of the stadium is the home crowd. In bigger games you may have 15,000 people exiting when the horn sounds. I didn’t notice any turnstile openings Being closed. The crowd move at a pace you would expect with that large number. I estimate from the concession area to clearing the turnstiles it took about two minutes. People were happy, people were respectful, people were patient, the staff were starting Go Tiger cheers and high 5ing. Nobody around us was pushing. Nobody fell. Nobody got trampled. Nobody seemed to be suffering or unduly restrained from exiting.
Ive seen smokers. I politely ask them if they would please not smoke in the stands around our crowd of non smokers. Most comply without incident. Ushers will help if asked. Vapers seem to feel more entitled.

RE: Liberty Bowl Grade ?
Saturday, as we were sitting in the car at a dead standstill for what seemed like 30 minutes, I flashed back to the last time we played @ Starkville. Tan Lot needs better departure organization. But we probably won't need it as badly now. Ole' Miss was one of those rare games where no one could leave until the end because the outcome wasn't decided. Normally, half the crowd leaves at halftime or shortly thereafter.

You guys need to attend a game in Pasedena CA or a Penn St game. Hours to get out. Been to Ole Miss and waited an hour or more to get to Hwy 7
