My daughter goes to Utah and says posters all over campus that say Beat NIU. Utah will be ready I expect a tough close game if we button up a few things.

No Respect from Sophomore Offensive Tackle, Nick Ford.
Facing a Mid-American Conference opponent, Ford said Utah learned, “In all due respect, don't play down to another person's level.”
Referring to last years game in Dekalb. He also said that nobody is touching Huntley.

RE: Utah Message Board
This year their coach chose words wisely, I think last year he came off as dismissive of NIU before that game. That probably will work against NIU a bit in this game, NIU wont be sneaking up on Utah.
Is it possible NIU was extra vanilla Saturday offensively with Utah on the mind? Probably not, just curious.

RE: Utah Message Board
Definitely went more vanilla due to the fact you were giving Utah their only game tape to look at. A lot of dives between the tackles. I’m sure that’s not what Eidsness is used to at SDSU. As much fun as it would have been to run up the score on ILSTU, we were always looking ahead to Utah.

Not against an Illinois State from the SEC of FCS and is many times ranked -- and in your own home state, with the point spread just being -7. Not to mention it being a close game on the scoreboard many times.
For another FCS with a -22 pt spread + getting off to a hot start and always keeping a distance on the scoreboard? Yeah, I would say very possible.

RE: Utah Message Board
Lol “SEC of FCS”.
NDSU is the Alabama of FCS, I'll give them that. I'd love to play them, and we wouldn't go vanilla.
Did you see the game?

I guess I am just too old, as I find trolling opponents message boards to be quite unnecessary and pointless. To come to any conclusions regarding a school’s fan base based on message boards is ridiculous.

Well said.
Utah fan here. As for Nick Ford, the Utah O-line got embarrassed by NIU last year, I would not respond the way he did, but I'm 47, not 19. I met Ford last year, a very nice kid, but I would rather not speak, just let play hard.
As for the game. I think 21 points is a big number, and I would take the under. I think Utah's approach will be very similar to their BYU game plan...run first and pass if needs be. Depending on how NIU defends the pass, I would expect a few down the field shots, but BYU plays their safeties so deep, its very difficult to go over the top on them.
I'm looking forward to the game. Anyone making the trip, do your self a favor and go to Crown Burger.

Crown Burger is no lie, I live in Utah and its a monthly deal. I hope for an NIU victory with injury free for both teams. Tall order for NIU, but throw the ball down and let's play, you never know what can happen. NIU OL has to step up big time, NIU responds well to big games.

Make the Utes beat you through the air, they are more than capable of it, but you have to force them to pass

And Aaron Rodgers is showing the Huskies basically how to beat a dominant defensive line. They had 3 sacks to start but now the Packers are shredding them...
