I included the throws that were nullified by the roughing the passer and the illegal procedure; which had no effect on the actual throw. To allow for anyone to check on my accuracy, I have included the down and distance, in addition to the number of yards from the line of scrimmage each pass traveled. The line indicates the end of each drive.

Many surprises at both ends.
- A full half of White's passes (16) never crossed the line of scrimmage; including many in long down and distance
- A full 1/3 of White's passes traveled more than 10 yards past the line of scrimmage. I thought it was less
- The biggest surprise; on most of the passes that traveled 10 yards or more, our receivers were wide open
- Another 2nd half shutout for the offense
- On our 2nd touchdown drive of 35 yards, all of the yards were on the ground

So the narrative is often that our receivers can't get open, can't get separation; but again, if you look at all of the longer throws our receivers were almost always open and often wide open.
Saloogi is going to spring a chub with this level of stat giving.
Haha.
It is interesting for sure.
My only counter/issue is that EVERY QB misses throws--literally.
I would like to see how Bo Nix from Auburn charted or Herbert from Oregon. He was lauded as proving his worth as the best frosh recruit by going 13 for 31 for 179 yards.
Also, those numbers don't indicate the level of pressure.
Certainly, Brady doesn't seem to have what Riley or Pax had. But he's not useless.
I also think that until Riley actually RUNS on an RPO, then the linebackers won't respect that and continue to affect line blocking.
In a nutshell, my opinion is that White's shortcomings dictate the scheme we face and lead to the false narrative that our receivers and tights ends can't get open; and that our offensive line isn't any good.

I chose random screenshots. I know the plays are at different times before and after the snap and I know that you can find images that show a different story. The bottom line is when I watch the games, I see defenses playing us like the two screenshots from this year. The line of scrimmage and within 10 yards is bunched up with defenders.
When Ferguson was the quarterback, defenders played off of our receivers and tight ends and the field was spread out and much more open than it has been since White has been our quarterback.
IF defenses played Ferguson like they do White; Ferguson would have killed them. IF defenses played White like they did Ferguson; White would be much better and would be much more effective.
The only way White will be able to change things is to show that he can make throws of 10+ yards. In the Old Piss game; our receivers were mostly wide open, and White almost never made the defense pay. Even on throws he hit, he almost never delivered the ball on time and in stride.
Defenses will happily allow him to hit the occasional pass when the payoff is being able bump our receivers and to bunch everyone up at the line of scrimmage.
