Pretty damn good I'd say.

Strong had a BCS eligible team at the time and had recruited well. He had other athletes that were drafted by the NFL that year.

He had good athletes at UT as well, still couldn't win.

Well, since he and TB parted ways, Strong is 33-31 in six seasons as a head coach at Texas and USF, while making a boatload of money, about an average of $5m per season to essentially go 6-6.

And since it was his success with TB in 2012 and 2013 that got him those jobs, he owes TB a whole lot, LOL.

Bridge water and a few other guys came from Miami after Strong hired Clint Hurtt. Hurtt was one of the guys caught up in the Nevin Shapiro scandal. Hurtt left UofL after a few years to go to the NFL.

UNI is ALWAYS a tough out for Iowa St.
Growing up in Iowa in the 80’s and early 90’s I recall Northern Iowa beating Iowa St or many very close ISU wins.

I know it’s a game that draws regional interest since both schools are 100 miles apart and Des Moines where their alumni and fans live is really close but if I was the ISU AD, I wouldn’t schedule UNI. They have more to lose than gain in playing that game.
