The reality show about Hoover HS football, “Two A Days”, was authentic and very entertaining. Some of the segments featuring Jeremy Pruitt were hilarious. I very much enjoyed watching Russ and his passionate style. I laughed out loud. A very good inside look at the world of high school football. I remember my high school FB coaches yelling, cussing and grabbing face masks. Football is a game, but to be good you have to motivate your players to practice hard and play hard. Different techniques motivate different players. Coaches use emotion and animation to to get the most out of their players. How they talk to and act around players is much like acting. A coach can look mean, but is he really mean . . no. He is an actor.
I’d like to see Russ coaching again and I’d be happy to see Russ coaching at UAB.

Character. And i am not referring to the definition that includes acting on stage or entertaining others.

No, he is not on the staff. He spent several days during fall camp hanging around practice. He's done the same thing at programs around the South. The guy is knowledgeable for sure.

He gave drugs to high school football players at his last job and did much worse things at Hoover.

You know the old saying- you never get a second chance to make a first impression. You created a profile on this website for the purpose of defending Rush Propst...

It is possible to be, at once, a great football coach and a terrible human being. Propst is living proof of that. As a proud UAB alum, I would never want him representing my school.
