UM v. UF: ESPN’s Best on Record
Quote:Miami-Florida, the network’s first ESPN CFB150 Showcase Game of the season and this season’s Camping World Kickoff, delivered a 4.1 overnight, the best college football game on ESPN since November of 2016*. The overnight for the Gators’ victory is also ESPN’s best on record for any Saturday game in August as well as Labor Day Weekend, traditionally the first Saturday of college football.

I'm sure we can all agree that the high rating was due to the nation's desperate hunger for football, ANY football...

… and not on both team's fine performances.

Many bowl games are on one at a time. I believe most tuned in to see Manny Diaz.

First mistake: starting a freshman left tackle....if I never have to cringe every time a ball is snapped, I'll be happy. Despite how close they came to beating Florida, Miami could easily go 7-5 this season if their offensive line play doesn't get better.

Yeah, but all the bowl games are played at the end of the season. This was the FIRST game of the season, where fans just want to watch football, any football. But it helps that it was Miami vs Florida as opposed to Ball State vs Western Michigan.

Miami won't see another DLine that good all season unless they play Clemson

For all the Oline woes, Miami has the makings of a team that could make a serious run at the Coastal Division

Dallas is going to be a good RB, and the defense looks pretty solid

The Coastal division is going to be a dogfight

VERY impressed with Dallas. Miami D obviously pretty good, too. Special teams let them down a little.
