If that’s “winnable” then you might as well list each OOC game (56 of them) and say they're all “winnable”.
if Marshall or UAB was playing App, would you consider it a "winnable" game?

One of the most winnable SEC games we have ever played.
Will take a huge dose of toughness to overcome in Neyland.
Tenn will be better this year than last year. And with all UAB lost hard to see this as a winnable game.
Yep not happening. Hard to replace 24 and 25 year olds NCAA exemptions.
Don’t be surprised if UAB loses to USA
Don’t be surprised if we beat La Tech’s ass again

I don’t disagree with your mindset, but it goes back to the Marshall posters comment...if this is how it is, then why not just post every OOC matchup? When you strap up, every game has some percentage of victory for both teams. Maybe winnable needs a qualification on it? How qualify it by putting only games that have a > 35% chance to win it?

One thing is sure, we will see how good of a coach Clark really is. It will take a stellar coaching job to make a bowl. If he does, I’ll be the first to give a ‘beers up’......

As for our nonconference games, I expect to go 3-1. I think Tennessee might be a winnable game, but I need to see the offensive and defensive lines first before saying it is possible.

I dunno. Do I think Charlotte will beat App? No, but could they? Sure, if everything falls into place. I understand the gist of “winnable”, but technically Im not sure that we could ever 100% guarantee anything.

If we played them I would give it a 50/50 chance. Old rivalry with lots of history and I'd give a slight edge to the home team. Certainly winnable but also certainly an accomplishment to beat them. I would imagine their fans feel begrudgingly the same way. Charlotte's one advantage is that Appy doesn't respect them, yet, and may overlook them them depending on who else is on the schedule around that game.

ODU beat Va Tech last year. I can say with certainty it was winnable.
Wish I had put $100 on that game.
Winnable also allows for some amount of good fortune.
UAB has been very fortunate/lucky the last 2 years. Hope it continues.
Luck is when opportunity meets preparedness.

You are right, the refs cheated us last time Birmingham football and basketball. I wouldn’t put anything past those cheats in Birmingham

UAB has gotten at least one vote in the top 25 in 8 of the last 9 polls.

This is considered success in CUSA. No wonder we are where we are....

App has a bye week after the Charlotte game, so I don't think we will be looking past anyone. It's true that many App fans give Charlotte no respect, but I don't believe that's true of the team and coaches. Coach Drink says all the right things indicating the "one game at a time" mentality but I guess we will see how this season goes. I think Charlotte played a better game last year than the score indicated. The App Defense shut them down in the red zone but it's not like they were going 3 and out. I will be in Boone for the game and look forward to a good one.

Fortunately this year our defense should be even better (they did pretty well against y'all ladt year until they got worn out) and y'all lost a lot on defense.
I still don't think we win this one but I think it'll be a better game than last year.

RE: CUSA's winnable OOC games this year that can increase CUSA's perception
APP’s offense should be really, really good, it was the best in the SBC last yr, and should be even better, so UNCC isn’t going to win a shootout, but if they run the ball effectively, complete a lot of high percentage short throws and move the chains, and most importantly score tds instead of field goals, than ya, they can keep this game close into the 4th, that’s a lot of ifs, but they have the talent to pull it off if APP isn’t ready to play. What’s funny is people keep asking if APP will be looking past the 49ers, but I believe 49er have Clemson soon after our game, as crazy as it sounds, I wonder if the 49ers will be thinking of Clemson rather than the mountaineers.
