I don't agree at all. These senators display a fundamental lack of knowledge of the constitution and the role of the court. If the court followed polls (assuming the unlikely proposition that progressive Democrats are the majority as they are claiming) then it would never have repealed Plessy v. Ferguson.

They know the Constitution, they just choose to pee on it. Dangerous times now and ahead.

I don't want to speak for Eric, but my personal interpretation is this...

Romans 13:1; Jesus is speaking to abiding by man's laws as well as God's laws and also understanding which one has immediate impact over our mortal selves and which one has greater impact in terms of eternity.

Ephesians 6:12; Paul is speaking about our spiritual guidance and not in terms of physical laws really, IMO. He's speaking of the spiritual realm and how it affects our interpretation of right and wrong as Christians.

Correct. The former is for getting along in the secular world without abandoning God's law as was befitting the regime and the times. The latter is for your own individual spiritual parameters. It helps you navigate your own conscience and reconcile it with God's teachings.

In the former you are citizen of the secular world and subject to the laws of man. In the latter you are subject to the commands of God who is the Father of us all where there is is no Gentile or Jew, male or female, slave or free to paraphrase another passage.

All people of faith have to reconcile the two realms of existence, the existential and the spiritual, and do so in a way that is compliant with the secular, and obedient to the spiritual. It doesn't mean all of man's law can be reconciled to God's. It can't. And where it can't is the cost of your faith.

The supreme law of the land is the Constitution which sets forth 3 co equal branches of gpvernment. This is just more proof that the Democrat party has gone off the rails. To be fair though, the party can do no more than reflect the views of its majority supporters. Walk Away.
