We are just giving the ball away in midfield over and over.

Great pass from Jimenez and tidy finish. We just don’t have a lot of quality right now.

Martino coaching circles around Berlhalter...something I fear we may be saying a lot in the future.

We have 3 or 4 players and that is it. And no to Berhalter.

We have no direction in the midfield, Bradley has his days, but not having Tyler Adams was a huge loss. We desperately need someone to marshal the midfield and provide protection for the inevitable mistakes McKennie is going to make at his age. Right now everyone just overloads the midfield against us, and Berhalter's stubborn pass out of the back philosophy gets undone.
Otherwise, the most obvious issue remains the lack of a true striker. Again, I still do not understand why we didn't give Josh Sargent a chance this tournament. He's very raw, but has far more potential than Zardes, and needs the experience.
Not having a recognized striker killed us today. Mexico has two or three guys who can score goals for them. We pretty much rely on Pulisic and hope he can provide something. Once a team locks him out, there's no other options outside of maybe McKennie.
On the bright side, the defense is better.

He was better than the usual drivel CONCACAF throws out there for this tournament, but inevitably we have to learn that we are not going to win in this region trying to play a European style game. Not with referees who are used to the CONCACAF style of play.
In the World Cup, at least we have a pretty fair shot, but in the regional events, we just can't expect to get the calls.

Guardado putting McKennie in a chokehold right in front of the ref with no punishment was pretty bad lol

Mexico were missing their most of their starters. Our country is just terrible at developing players and our Federation is run by a bunch of empty suits who are completely clueless.

We’re new to developing players. There’s still a lot of inconsistency in training too.
I also think a problem is the fact that a lot of the players that we’ll need are still around 20 yrs old.

Nagbe would have been a better option than Bradley and Roldan today. Not sure why GGG doesn't rate him.
