So I hear California has got it together.
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/califor...ship-roles
Why would you expect different from those pushing for open borders and Socialism? Who needs to be a citizen? That would be discriminatory. Let's eliminate the celebration of the 4th of July while were at it. People were imperfect then unlike now.
https://www.cnn.com/politics
For Ken Barna. Checked CNN political page and see no mention. The link will update so it may appear later than 11:54 EST on July 2. But if it doesn't I wouldn't be surprised. Why would you want this to be national news? Who could with any intellectual honesty defend the position. Yet Calif. State Democrat party is angling to get it done.

RE: So I hear California has got it together.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/citizen
1 : an inhabitant of a city or town
especially : one entitled to the rights and privileges of a freeman
b : a native or naturalized person who owes allegiance to a government and is entitled to protection from it
Having people whose allegiances are to other countries, standards and desire to unwind the basic principles for which this country is based is a problem. No?
In societies less than being fully Democratic as ours there are no Freeman. There no rights only privileges that are given and regulated by the government. They are not unalienable and unassailable as the framers of the Constitution and Bill of Rights intended.
With no physical borders why should we have borders like the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to restrain Govt.
So to have the Democratic Party in such a large and economically powerful state allow for and encourage noncitizens into positions of shaping and eventually formulating policy positions is not surprising but is disturbing.

There are plenty of citizens who espouse things that you seem to consider "un-American" too. Like apparently myself.
I'd argue that freedom allows us to push for whatever political change we like. Within the framework of the Constitution of course.. unless pushing for an amendment. No?
So your argument is that freedom only should apply to those of us who agree with a monolithic (and ever changing) idea of what is American?

Articulating ideas is not the point. You’re deflecting again.
People of similar perspectives make up Pol parties.
Political parties select Pols.
Pols set policy.
Policy shapes law.
Everyone is clear they don’t want Russians as an example as non-citizens to be influencing the selection of politicians who set policy that eventually becomes law.
So why intentionally let it exist within your political party?
Likely because as we’ve seen with the expressed desire by the Socialists claiming to be Democrats and Dems raising their hands wanting to be Socialists, to have open borders, confiscate private property and argue in favor of infanticide. So why is “citizenship” necessary. Even desirable? It doesn’t carry unalienable rights for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

NBC news out of San Francisco. A bastion of fox propaganda? https://www.kcra.com/article/california-...s/28201870
The question is why should noncitizens have any say or influence in the American electoral process?
And the social studies teacher says?

Ok fine I’ll bite. Didn’t read the whole article. Sounds like California is voting on a bill to allow non-citizens to hold leadership positions within political parties. And you’re curious as to why nobody cares about that. Here’s why. It’s unelected positions! Would you make it illegal for a green card holder to play any role within our democracy? They can’t monitor polling stations? They can’t lead get out the vote operations? Why? These are just rules. California wants to change them democratically. It’s not a big deal *at all*. Fox knows you’re scared of Hispanic people taking over the USA so they run dogs*** like this to keep you scared. That way you won’t notice their hand in your back pocket taking your wallet. It’s such an obvious con and at some point you’re accountable if you choose to keep falling for it and watching the working class’s standard of living just continue to erode because of stuff you guys vote for. It’s 2019. Donald Trump is the president. Wake up. Better late than never.
