Yeah, i noticed someone posted the info in a thread about UConn moving to the big east. I can see the common link was "UConn" but it is two distinct subjects. Some people just have to make themselves look like an ass. I couldn't care less about their opinions.

I left during the wars over Josh P, but I did manage to avoid getting banned which means the door was open to come back and read so many familiar posters. I bet there are many others out there like me who will appreciate a place to discuss the Penny Hardaway Tigers. I find most people on here knowledgeable and entertaining, so thank you for posting.

It was painful to see that if we selected someone who turned out to do good things as a coach and really build the program, that other schools would use us like a farm team and just take our coach. Contracts it turns out don't mean much. In my opinion, the NCAA shouldn't allow a coach to break his contract if he ever wants to coach at the college level again, but of course the big thieves would have none of that. But in Penny Hardaway I see someone who I believe won't let success lead him to discard Memphis for the new shiny elite college down the road. Because of that I am allowing myself to care again.

In football, I am not convinced. I am glad we have had a couple of good coaches in a row, but how do you sustain that when success leads to losing your coach and the next gamble. It is unfair to the students they recruited and to the school who's contract they are using as toilet paper, but I can't see it getting better.

I guess it was coming for a while. But with all the other P5 programs (UNC, L'ville, Kansas, Arizona, LSU) all over the news for nasty stuff with no penalties (yet), then an AAC program gets popped...the script is very NCAA-like.

Things r slow right now, but I'm still hearing 2 to 3 four stars and a possible 5
Mike and staff r working it hard,
I'm still hearing the 12, BIG and ACC r keeping a eye on Memphis for expansion
Sources say all three would love to be in the middle of sec market
Lamar and Sumner r not interested in this right now, but they know a couple of Dudes that may have some info.
My opinion we have to have a kick ass B.ball team beginning this season and continue to improve
The football program and of course this is done by dropping CUPCAKES and adding a tough OOC schedule
