But my dude, I think the name of Memphis is safe.

That's as bad as your "treason" insult.

I suggest reading some primary sources.

The Klan is a joke, a bunch of clowns with low self esteem and low IQ. For years the Left has used them as a political tool.

I'm not talking about the Klan today.

The Klan in Forrest's time was a real thing that mattered.

Yep. Post Civil War Reconstruction was not one of our shining times. Open minded research into primary sources is necessary to even begin to understand it.

I’m well aware of our history both north and south and like all countries there are things we wish never happened. I might remind everyone even the founders of Harvard College were slave holders.

Alonso, I can't believe you fell for that classic misdirection. You asked him a question that he answered with a question! Now you have to defend your answer to his question. He won't answer your question because he doesn't have a good one.

Pronounced Kay-ro, tho.

Cairo IL is legitimately one of the most depressing places I know of.

I hope they've replaced that bridge between KY and IL. I hate bridges and that one was particularly scary.

Very narrow bridge. 18 wheelers sometimes smack mirrors passing each other in opposite directions.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cairo_Miss...ver_Bridge

They have built a new bridge but I crossed the old one quite a bit in the 70’s while stationed in Rantoul, Illinois. Saw many 18 pass and wondered if they ever touched.
The bridge from Illinois to Kentucky is narrow. That is the Ohio River bridge.

The Mississippi River bridge connects Illinois to Missouri. That one isn't as scary as the Ohio River. Oddly enough there's a bridge about 40 miles away that connects Brookport, IL to Paducah, KY that is scarier for most people.

This is the worst.

That looks like the cario bridge but nothing compared to the old sunshine skyway bridge over Tampa bay.

Nope.

RE: 200 Years Ago Today
speaking of no margin for error, I've been to New Orleans many times, but always by air into MSY

Usually there is a flyover for Lake Ponchartrain,,,,with that really skinny 24 mile bridge..

never been on it but it seems a bit scary - not sure I would attempt it
