And since you’re slow to pick up on it, that was said with dripping sarcasm.
BTW, you really shouldn’t come onto a sports message board, and based upon a post or two that you had read to you (I’m certain that’s the case as you’re a product of nUTSAck), start making assumptions about the poster.
But whatev, it’s all in good fun, at least on my end . . .
Becoming a bit unraveled there? If I had meant for that comment to speak directly about you, I'd have said, "If Bobcat87 hasn't been to many places, that eye hasn't seen much". I was speaking in generalities, only to that quote. Everything isn't always about you. I apologize if I didn't refer back to you again afterwards and say that I didn't know where you've been, but I really didn't feel it necessary because I wasn't talking about you to begin with. I dislike people who make assumptions as much as most others, and you seem to have forgotten that in my very first comment to you, I asked you whether you've actually been to other places. You never replied though.
Now, I'm sure you've been to SOME other places, but these are your words... "No spot on Earth is as fair as that campus nestled on the hills of San Marcos, and that Sir is a verifiable Fact." I don't know you, so maybe you were using a bit of gift of gab in saying that, and didn't really mean it. But if you did mean it, and really think that Texas State/San Marcos is the most beautiful location on the planet, I'd be interested in knowing which other places you've been to.
Unraveled? Not at all, go back and re-read, or have someone read it to you, your post: number 15 this thread.
I shouldn’t have to ask, but based upon your reaction, I will. Did you seriously read what I posted and take it all literally? I mean, I thought it was pretty obvious that the posts were “tongue in cheek,” didn’t mean to spend most of the day “over your head.”
Next time you’re here, give me a heads up, I’ll use disclaimers and one Syllable Words . . . you know, keep it on that UTSA curricular level.
So first you falsely criticize me for making assumptions, and now you criticize me for not assuming. Can we make up our minds, please? Like I said, I don't know you, and there are people who actually believe the Earth is flat.
And btw, I didn't once make a disparaging remark about your school, nor about your level of education. I don't operate that way. Yet you've gone there repeatedly with me. I happen to be from Germany originally, and learned English as a 2nd language, and the only thing I'll give you a heads-up about is that people can disagree and still remain civil. Try it sometime.
Try it yourself . . . you came here (to a board where your school has no presence) and started ragging on my posts. . .
. . . you can’t stand the heat . . as to any criticism of your school, it’s simply based upon my experience with “the product.”
"Ragging" on your posts? I DISAGREED with what you said...lol. Do you honestly not know the difference between disagreeing with someone and personal attacks/insults? In fact, you later said the stuff you wrote about San Marcos wasn't meant to be taken literally to begin with, which means your view of San Marcos and mine are actually more similar than they are different. So what then was the point of even arguing with me to begin with?
And btw, if I couldn't stand the heat, I wouldn't have come to another conference's board, disagreed with a couple of people on what they said, and still be here even now after repeated insults about the school I got a degree from and me personally.
As to any criticism of your school, based upon my experience with "the product", it wasn't relevant to a thread about the most beautiful college towns, so I chose to not even go there. And I still won't because I'm not a mud slinger.
You do you and support Texas State, and I'll do me and support UTSA. At least you're loyal to your school; that's always a good thing. But why not do so with decorum? Seriously, no need to jump so quickly to personal attacks and insults every time someone from a rival school disagrees with you, especially if they've done nothing to warrant it. We were in the same conference for about two decades, and it sometimes shows in the conversations our fans have with yours, and it certainly came out from your end in this one. Really no need though.
