Perception is reality.

I am surprised that we are about as close to MWC as CUSA and MAC is to us. We need to do better so we don't get ranked so low again to help that rating.

CUSA is out.

Since they are their top rated team. Be it only in this preseason publication. I do expect them to be one if not the highest ranked in other publications as well. They will have us at Troy sandwiches between Miss State and Lacrapa. That game in Troy has a lot riding it as far as how this swinging perception goes. Those games any of us have against their top tier will and good luck to anyone else in the Belt that has a similar opportunity to drive home the point that is beginning to be believed (despite what the CUSA folks say). That SBC is better in football than those guys at CusSuckAlot (CUSA)

If anyone's following along on CUSA's Orlando Sentinel thread...with USM being ranked at 70 all CUSA schools have been ranked. They've achieved an average ranking of 99.6. Sunbelt currently sits with an average ranking of 88 with stAte, Troy, and App yet to be ranked.

We're all aware and we've discussed ad nauseam that these rankings mean nothing...except that perception *IS* changing.

In my earlier post I was referencing that very point that perception is changing. However, I was just looking at their board and it was posted that 7 CUSA teams are in the top 60 in Phil Steele’s publication. I have no idea how

But I doubt this is true. Orlando Sentinel has ALL of their teams at 70 or above. That is ONE huge discrepancy.

LOL Steele thought stAte was great shakes last year. You see how that worked out for us. They’re all just shilling for notoriety. Just win. The rest takes care of itself.
