Notices on allegations are sent after the investigation has closed. There will be a back and forth period where schools are allowed to respond to the allegations. Iirc, it's 90 days, then the NCAA responds and so forth.

Of course, like with Ole Miss, more allegations could pop up which would take more time.

LSU situation different. It was reported that most SEC Coachs and ADs are amazed that Wade is still working (and that LSUs Admin backed down after his initial suspension)

I understand the first notices will be issued late this month or August. It seems for some reason they want to move quickly on this. Very unusual for the NCAA.

It'll be a while before any shite hits the fan. What the "involved" need to really be worried about is the future indictments handed down by the FBI...the NCAA can't put people in jail.

Like Tark said, "The NCAA was so mad at Kentucky they gave Cleveland State two more years of probation."

Louisville HAS to get hammered seeing that they were already on probation (strippergate) when they got caught up in the Adidas pay-for-play with Brian Bowen.

whatever you think about Tubby, it's nice to not be in the conversation with these schools!

EFF Tubby. There are 351 division 1 schools and they are naming 6. Not like we dodged a bullet.

No Tubby = No Penny + No Wiseman + No #1 recruiting class. Two years of Tubby was well worth it for that.

I think USC and Oklahoma St will be the first two.

Than its Arizona, LSU, Auburn, and NC State

Kansas, Louisville (because they already cleaned house), and South Carolina will all get a slap on the wrist.

That's basically how I think of it too.

Poor Louisville...
They HAD to sign a good deal with ADIDAS this time..as last time...Pitino got over 90%+ of the money in their former shoe deal.
Now they're about to get hammered again.

Per Pat Forde at Yahoo Sports (the only investigative entity left in college sports it seems):

“Those expected to be in the crosshairs and face the most significant penalties include: Louisville, North Carolina State, Kansas, Arizona, LSU, USC, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and Auburn. TCU, Creighton and Clemson all also had assistant coaches implicated in the scandal and could face sanctions.”

3 SEC schools in the crosshairs.

He could be right. I hope he is.
Pat had one of the most thoughtful columns in The Sporting News: “Forde Acres”.

I don't think Kansas will be one of the schools. For sure LSU and Arizona. Next probably USC, Auburn, Creighton and Oklahoma State.

I'll always remember his short sleeved dress shirts, chewing on towels and the credit he gets for "creating" the fast break and Amoeba Defense.

He assembled some fun teams. Love the guys that do their best to stick it to the NCAA. he did all he could. Cal used to be that way too. Now he's enjoying the slanted/favored approach of the NCAA as a Blue Blood.

I don't get it.
UK had a player named in the investigation.
How do they get off scot free?

most creative coaches get A NCAA rule to cover their shady dealings.
For example the 'horse collar' tackle rule that was known as the "Roy Williams" rule (former Dallas Cowboys safety) who tackled people that way.
Calipari has the distinction of having TWO NCAA rules adopted to cover his shady practices.
