The UGA beat writer has a bad case of butt hurt. He is just upset since the games will not be in Athens.

Good for state to has the games at there home field but to me it is not a big deal were the games are held since it is the championship game and really that is the only thing that is important not were the game is played.

Sorry should have stopped at quit deflecting, it's one of your main tactics.

Who hurt you?

No one hurt me, I'm good, just calling out your constant bull**** that overflows from your keyboard that tarnishes the Southern fan base. Sometimes it's entertaining overall, so props there!

Because I shared an article from a UGA beat writer?

There you go again, lol.

How about this one from a different side of the state?

https://www.savannahnow.com/opinion/2019...wed-ground

Personally I think it’s good that it left MBS. Obviously there’s no place in Georgia as shiny as MBS outside of maybe Athens. The next tier or two gets messy. In terms of “perceived value” it’s easier to look at the highest tier of high school stadiums.

Written by a high school sophomore that was retweeted once and liked 5 times.... and this article seems to be his biggest "hit." You are a pro at finding anything written about Georgia State. Maybe you should work for Ben Moore at PantherTalk. 04-cheers

I dont think anyone disagrees that MBS is the best venue in town. But who will pay for the $600k fee? High school games cant be worth that.

UGA's Sanford Stadium is actually pretty old and uncomfortable. I've been there many times because of my family.

Cant comment on GT's stadium. Never have been there.

I honestly like Techs stadium more than UGAs. But my feelings are the same. You might as well have the state finals on the high school campuses if you're going to talk about having it at Bobby Dodd.

I look forward to seeing how the GPB announcers handle calling games when they can only be sure about where exactly the ball is on 1/4 of the field since they'll be sitting 30 yards behind the back corner of one end zone.

TV doesn't call games from there, get your facts right.....

Where does TV call it from? Because our radio guys called the game from where he said
Pretty sure several suites were gutted near midfield for media use.

But the visitors side still has to turn around backwards to see it.

What then, do you suggest that would solve that problem? 03-banghead

Small handhelf mirrors so the Ga Southern folk can look at the screen without straining their necks

GSU Stadium new site for state high school championship
The Concourse on to of the East Side (visitor side) has become one of the prime spots in the stadium to stand with a beer and look at the video screen. If anyone has a complaint it would be the North End Zone (student section) and the North club seats

“I think the games at the Benz Stadium were pretty thrilling for us as players, just getting an opportunity to step on the same field as some of the best players in the league.”

WR: Landon Kardian, Holy Innocents’ (’21)

“I do not like the idea to move out of Mercedes-Benz because that stadium is one of the coolest stadiums in the country and to miss out on playing there would be upsetting.”

P: Ethan Greenberg, Pace Academy (’21)

“It’s always been a dream of mine to step onto a field where a professional NFL team has played on. And the only way for that to happen is for Pace Academy to make it to the state championship or for me to make it to the league. The game should be played at Mercedes-Benz stadium because that’s every football players’ dream to play there.”

Since the Braves moved out of Turner Field, the once sparkling Olympic Stadium quickly lost its charm, becoming only a shell of its former self.

After attending Atlanta Legends AAF games and seeing behind the scenes, it was evident that the new venue of the GHSA state championships could use some upgrades.

Georgia High School players not happy at all about this move.

How is the stadium rotting away if it was just renovated? Did they leave some old parts alone and not upgrade them?

Rotting away might be an overstatement (and this is coming from a GS fan.....) but significant parts of the stadium on the concourses were "renovated" by slapping a coat of paint over the already peeling/flaking previous coat of paint with very little prep work.

As Panama stated, another video screen on the other side that actually faced the seats.

It's a prime spot out of necessity not choice because if they were in their visitors seats, they couldn't see the screen without turning around. I agree that the North side seats are just as bad or maybe even worse, but I didn't go into those sections when I was at the stadium so I don't have a personal experience there.
