I believe you to be right. I wouldn't be surprised if those polls have us around 15th or lower.

As awesome as it is to see the Tigers ranked so highly, I'd almost prefer a lower ranking at this point. I'd just hate to see the bar set so high that the guys feel the pressure to live up to it and struggle. It's going to be a long season with lots of ups and some downs, so I'd rather fly below the radar until these guys get some games under their belts. I'm more concerned with the rankings next March than now.

Cool! I hope the Freshmen will gel together and work as a team. There's a lot of talent and ego on that team. The only way they can win the NC is leave their egos at the door and play selflessly.

The only ranking that matters in the NCAA tournament is your seed which determines your matchups (as manipulated by Committee to favor money conferences). But if we are good enough they can’t screw us too bad without being ridiculed.

I agree with that partly, but I think rankings matter with recruits too.
