This seems to be a trend with Penny but Dir of BB Operations has to help in these situations-Penny can’t do everything. We should be able to have our pick of the litter with our situation.

Director of Basketball Operations duties do not include hiring an assistant coach. I honestly don't know any head coach that would let someone else pick his assistant.

He's already out. He was Luke Walton's assistant. And appears as if Luke didn't take him to Sacramento.

He's already out. He was Luke Walton's assistant. And appears as if Luke didn't take him to Sacramento.

So looks like Miles Simon did not get offered a job in Sacramento. Walton takes one assistant with him. Clay Moser was also on Walton's staff with the Lakers, but Eric Musselman hired him to Arkansas a few days ago.
