Seriously? It's not that on a high tier of sports package for most providers. Either way though, most bars have it.

It's on my basic package with Spectrum/Time Warner. So was BeIN, but finding BeIN sucked. NFL Network follows the ESPNs and is a quick flip over.

Good for them...still prefer finding all of our games on one network and not having to try to figure out where I have to go to see my team in some hodgepodge system.

Think that this is a good move for y’all . . . Gotta believe that the exposure will be better than BeIN. I am curious as to who will be calling/filming your broadcasts?

If it wasn't for the fact that ESPN owns almost all our bowl games and it's mutually beneficial for them to push their products in coverage/media, I would say the CUSA deal is better than ours with the exception of having our CCG on ESPN at Noon on Championship Saturday, and money.

28 games on TV (CBSSN = 10, NFLN = 10, Stadium = 8)
10 games on Facebook (CBS Produced = 3, Stadium produced = 7)
and the rest on ESPN3/+

I like the NFLN deal better. They are their only college product so they will probably advertise the heck out of them! Who knows how far we are down the list of ESPNs CFB priorities along with all the other sports and leagues. And the games are on Saturdays with normal crowds.

The ratings will be awful though. Fans of those programs will go to the game on a Saturday while "casual" fans and recruits will be watching other game on television that day since it is wall to wall.

Playing devil’s advocate here but how is that really any different from us? Joe Q. Public isn’t whipping out his fire stick and searching thru the FCS games on ESPN3 to find us mixed within when the network channels with the P5 are easier to navigate. Trust me, for me to watch SBC football it’s a process. I like the NFL deal to be honest and I think we would be pretty stoked had we landed it IMO.

And that's assuming they're paying for the "bonus" ESPN subscription...

I still prefer to play on Saturdays. I don't think ratings that might be a smidgen higher on a Wednesday night are worth the cost of the revenue lost with terrible attendance numbers we routinely see for week night games.

There's simply a natural order with things, and playing college football games on Saturdays is a part of that natural order. At least that's the way I see it.

NFL is so far superior to college football it’s ridiculous. Unless your Alma is playing, I would rather watch NFL every single time.

Agree to disagree-Unless you have a favorite nfl team, I find the pro level to be monotonous and lacking excitement until playoff time.

I am glad you asked. When you are the only game on a weeknight there are sports junkies and recruits tuning in because they don't enjoy HGTV or Hallmark. We get some games on weekends on TV when playing P5 opponents and those are great opportunities to reach an audience that otherwise will not tune in to see our games.

All the weekend games are easily available on your smart TV in the SBC if you are a fan and want to see your team. Those are the only people who will tune in on a weekend anyhow.

It's the best situation for everyone to sacrifice a weeknight attendance to promote the conference while still allowing every game to be viewable on the ESPN platform on the weekends.

That is one way to rationalize it. Honestly, my weekends are so buys with the kids that weeknight games are easier for me to watch. I prefer spending Saturday and the stadium but have to watch most games on TV. I can do that for every singe ASU game on a weekend or weeknight.

I get a ton more messages from friends who are not fans of my school when we play a TV game on a weeknight. People come in to the office and talk about how they watched my team play last night. That doesn't happen with weekend games unless it is against a big time P5 team. They are going to watch Alabama or their favorite P5 on a weekend.

RE: Breaking News: CUSA To have games air on NFL Network
I don't mind playing away games on tv. We make every home game and it's almost a 3 hour drive for us. If we play on a Thursday night, we have to take off a few hours early on Thursday and take Friday off. All to sit in an empty stadium with a very different atmosphere than the Saturday games. My preference would be to play on Saturdays though.

I also don't understand why every football, basketball, and baseball game isn't on ESPN+ at the very least. The school runs the production and ESPN just picks up the broadcast. There's really no reason for them not to now that they have a 2nd online only streaming service. Especially since I have to pay extra for it. (I really hate ESPN+). At least with ESPN3, it was included in my tv package.

Agreed, I never even really liked CFB before TXST went FBS, I'd watch because football but never really understood why so many went ape over it but now I get it. I can still get into a random NFL matchup way easier than a random CFB one though.

ESPN+ will have every Sun Belt men/women's basketball games and I believe baseball games too for the 2019-2020 season. Also, the conference championship game/match for every other sport too.

I believe in 2019-2020 the Sun Belt will have over 500 events on ESPN
