Holton Ahlers and Mike Houston should make a really good combination. Not sure of the particulars but so long as the offensive line plays well and offensive efficiency improves ECU should be a better all around football team in 2019. One thing I noticed was a complete lack of continuity on offense resulting in a defense that could keep it together for only so long.

When the bottom of the SBC, generally speaking, and not pointing at any specific programs, rises permanently and obviously above the MAC I will be happy. How are they even coming close to recruiting as well as our southern schools? Population? Who wants to play in an empty stadium on a weeknight?

I had a hypothesis that the MAC would see the most negative impact of all the new Southern FBS programs over the last decade (App/the two GSUs/Charlotte/Liberty/ODU/South Alabama/Coastal).

My thinking was the MAC recruits FL/GA but those G5 level talents in the area would rather stay closer to home and would forego going to the Midwest to play in GA, the Carolinas or VA instead. I dont know if that has panned out but it certainly seems possible.
