77% of the fans will be in seating built over the last decade? And most of that 77% will be in brand new seating? And within 4 years, the oldest seats will be 14 years old and all be club level seating? What a travesty.

It's going to be one of the nicest stadiums in G5 with amenities, seating type, seat space, isle space, accessibility, sight lines, etc. Did you visit the gameday building to check out construction? The seats feel like they are right on top of the field. The noise will be incredible.
This isn't directed to you but a lot of people get hung up on judging the stadium by its capacity alone, which I think is a mistake.
Mediocre is not the word. Its incomplete. To me I'm looking at like a brand new 17,000 seat stadium with 5,000 seats of crap. The stadium gets judged as a whole. You cant just turn a blind eye to those bleachers in the north endzone.
Yes. Perhaps "incomplete" is the better word. But I still think things like the big escalator, a beautiful large video scoreboard, a completed horseshoe end zone, the branding on the stadium exterior, suites on the sidelines and yes, even height do make a difference in "wow factor". If all of those things come to fruition, we will have a very nice stadium. But for now, it will remain incomplete and not one of the best G5 stadiums in the country, and likely not in the top 5 FCS stadiums. Im sure it will be much, much nicer than Foreman Field though. I expect the concessions to be better, and the bathrooms to be better and the legroom to be better. The backrests will be nice too.
I am interested in seeing the 5 FCS stadiums that ours will be worse than?
JMU, Montana, Alabama State, South Dakota State, Penn, Florida A&M (the new one), and Liberty (and even though they're a move up, it will still be nicer than ours until completion) Im thrilled with the new stadium, just want to see it live up to its potential and be something we can all be proud of and use as a recruiting tool as well. When its done, I imagine it will be just that. I hope its soon.
You lost me at Penn...Franklin Field is a dump with a track around it. It’s not even top 3 in the Ivy...

Are you seriously including a stadium that hasn't been funded yet and likely never will? That project is so far away, they're making renovations to the current stadium. As for Penn, LOL. The rest, save for Liberty (which isn't FCS), are debatable.

Havent been to Penn's stadium (or any of them other than JMU and LU) but judging by the photos, Penn's looked very nice to me. I'll take your word for it. I also hate tracks around fields too and am very glad ours wont have that.

Penn is my alma mater. Franklin Field was built in 1895. It is beautiful and historic but not modern. The Eagles played there for many decades.

Not 100%. That's the point. Like Bridgeforth, SB Ballard will look partially complete. I'm ok with it but others, not so much. 5,000 fans will have to wait to experience the renaissance. They'll still be sitting in the old Foreman Field seats. No chair backs or bench backs. The nearest food and toilets are over in the "good section".
Oh well, I hope the $99 ticket price makes up for those inconveniences. I wonder how they're selling.
By the way, for those still wishing they got a brick, there's the brick wall that goes around the NEZ. That hasn't come down yet. Sure, it's not part of the actual stadium but it is part of Foreman Field.

Those NEZ stands are not 80+ years old... Nothing wrong with them... Ugly yes....Functional Yes... $99 per season may grow the fan base...

Those tickets have been $99 for a while now. But I'm not sure how well those cheap seats were marketed either. I hope they can sell that area out.

General Admission too right? Nice to be able to pick up extras tickets for certain games and be able to sit next to your party. Reserve Seats limit your game to game flexibility.

Nobody is saying they are not functional. But good luck trying to sell out those seats.

The word "UNIVERSITY" needs to be eliminated and the "OLD DOMINION" needs to be bigger. (see Virginia Tech scoreboard) Big and bold is the only way to go.
There is no need for "UNIVERSITY". We don't have it along the baseline of the basketball court, so the precedent is set.
