RE: How conservatives rationalize their surrender to Trump
The title should be: How the left continues to lose because of TDS

Comey? The dude who was up to his eyeballs in a coup attempt? Yeah, he's someone I'm going to hitch my wagon to.

This is just another attempt to make something out of the two plus years of nothing that was the whole Russia! fiasco.

At some point the leftist loons are going to have to own their loss and move on or they are never going to be relevant again, which would actually be fine with me.

Once again Comey claims himself the great righteous and moral hero everyone should worship. The one the left should surrender to.

So what would you call what the left is doing in regards to AOC & Ilhan Omar?

Would that be considered "surrendering" or is it closer to sacrificing?

BTW, Max Boot sounds like a character from a video game.

I don't think anyone has surrendered to Donald Trump. It's just than when presented with two bad alternatives, take the least objectionable.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I wish my enemy had better enemies, but for now I'll take what is available.

I’ve been on this board for a while. There is a lot of surrendering going on.

He called Trump bigotted and extremist and used Comey as his appeal to authority. He has a severe case of TDS. Stage 4 delusional fantasies.

I don’t think you even understand what you are saying here. Point some “surrendering” out please.

Support of policies is not “surrendering” just to help you avoid stumbling into that pot hole.

I see this as just more cult of personality from the left. Simple people believe others think as they do. Just because the left loved Barry’s pleat in his pants doesn’t mean the right loves Trump’s hair style.

RE: How conservatives rationalize their surrender to Trump
Here is how I rationalize my "surrender" to Trump.

1. I agree with many of his stances on fiscal things.
2. I agree with America first.
3. I agree that America is a sovereign Nation and should secure it's borders.
4. I am Pro Israel.
5. Etc.

Now, on the other side...

I do not care for Trump's moral character.
I think Trump is childish and vindictive.
I wanted him to shut down his twitter when he was elected.

But more than anything...I wanted Trump's election to rip the Republican party to shreds so that something more conservative that actually gave a crap about the US would emerge. I could not stand the "McCain" wimpy Republican party that had emerged and therefore, I left it back in 2008.

Now, also.....Trump was a much better alternative than Hillary, but I am sick of voting for the lesser of two evils.
