It seems the left has an antiChristian bent, not an anti religious one.
A leftist I knew well once explained that, while she considered all religious people at least somewhat stupid, she generally overlooked that fact for non-whites, on the grounds that they could not be expected to know any better.

Add in that the flag has become the symbol of an “oppressive” country (Kaepernick) and the Norman Rockwell America I grew up in is disappearing.
So lefties, at.Christmas when you see the SA bell ringers, what is your reaction to their evilness? Spit in the bucket?

I think we’re thinking of different seven letter pejoratives.

Not sure what you think you are saying with the coffee. What I hear is that you don’t want to answer.
I'll spell it out for you - your comment creates a caricature of the left that likely fits a narrative you like, and you then ask the "lefties" on this board to try and discuss your Fox News-style characterization.
I've seen 0 comments in this thread that indicate any of the left leaning people on this board would come close to being your Rush Limbaugh-esque lefty, yet you ask us to answer a question about how we would handle some evilness that none of us perceive as existing.
So let me say it again:

You would think that would have been made clear each time I stated that I thought The Hoot was stupid for making the decision they did. I explicitly referenced the fact that one of the supposedly bad charities was the Salvation Army...

So,somebody, why were they mentioned?
Also, somebody referenced three charities that CFA gave to that caused some consternation. What were these three charities?
TIA
OO, you obviously did not read the article about why CFA is back in the news...
This is hilarious.

I thought CFA was in the Rice news because your friends don’t like their religion. Is that national news?
Speak plainly - what is wrong with CFA? Who is upset with them and why?
Granted, I am traveling, and struggling to keep Up, thus this post at 2 am.

My friends? OO, hate to break it to you, but I know 0 people who are undergrads at Rice.
I provided information on why I thought the Hoot made the choice in Post #5 (which you responded to) and then Rice93 provided a news article that explained why they were back in the news in Post #8, and I then responded to it in Post #9, which is where you see Salvation Army first referenced.
We've already been down this road in this thread - go back and reread those posts.

Dodging the question? Come on. Read his most recent response.
The issue was with their historical backing of entities that could be read as homophobic and/or against same-sex marriage.
The recent article references three entities that CFA has recently supported that some segment of the population still sees as problematic. This is likely a very tiny fraction of the population and all "leftists" on this board to date don't seem to have a problem with these entities.

My friend started The Hoot in 2010. Do you think they're still there 9 years later?
SRBs are run by current undergraduate students - they make up the entirety of the management team and employees. They may or may not have an adviser that is an employee of Rice, that's about the only person who would have any continuity from 2010.
Go back and read the posts - I referenced them for you. I don't need to take the time to retype out a question I already answered...
Why are you trying to suggest I'm dodging it?
