Wouldn't mind seeing Youncofski get looked at for a spot. Have no idea if this is possible, but would love to see NVE as the associate HC. Also, a former HC type like Larry Davis would be ideal.

Martelli is my dream associate head coach. I'm sure that's far fetched

i presume NVE only considered the HC position because it was his alma mater. i doubt he'll take essentially a demotion.

At the same time, if he wants to get his foot in the door of the college game what better place to come to and learn the ins and outs of recruiting and the college game? I agree it’s a long shot, but depending on his goals and mindset it could be seen as a good move for his future.

That's my point. i don't think he wants to get his foot into the college game. i think he wanted to coach Cincy but i wouldn't be surprised if he stays at the NBA level and tries to get an HC position there.

I'd imagine Coach Y would be one of the guys Cronin said would definitely be coming with him. Brannen already has his own analytics assistant, Sean Dwyer.

The only guys you need to keep are Jackson (he recruited Samari) and Rehfeldt.

RE: Brannen's staff
No. Making a staff decision (in which you sign someone to a contract worth probably $100k+ per year) based one on kid's decision on where he's going to school is totally irresponsible. We are UC, we do NOT hold our staff hostage based on the choice of a 17/18 year old kid.
Besides, Samari already said he was coming here regardless.

Hope Rehfeldt stays, although could be huge career opportunity for Elise Iesse our in LA

Definitely possible. Before the Cincy position opened though NVE tweeted out that he needed to get one of these open college HC jobs. Seems like he was at least considering it. Whether he would be a college assistant first though remains to be seen.
If I was him I’d consider it. There are several times more college HC opportunities than there are in the NBA.

Wonder if he dips into his connections from Alabama to fill out his coaching staff. Or, maybe they just alter their commute.

He needs to keep all options on the table. He will be recruiting much more nationally. Obviously I hope he gets every top player within 150 mile radius.

Bolden chose ‘Bama today. Wonder if he had waited if Brannen could have pulled him in. McNeil is headed to WVU. I would think Brannen has seen enough of Jaevin to give him a call.

I wonder if Tyler Sharpe would come here? have you seen his stat lines? he went from a bench player at Louisville, to putting up multiple 15-20 point games. I would gladly take him.

I like Sharpe and Tate. However I dont think Brannen will be poaching former players.

Maybe i've misread that tweet but i thought that was a tongue in cheek in response to a bunch of high dollar hires being posted on twitter. i don't think it was serious. i realize he could have changed his mind but if you look at his career trajectory, it's been almost exclusively pro with the exception of the first year as an assistant. i imagine that if he really wanted to dip his toe in the college game, he would have done so already. i don't think he'd be lacking for options.

RE: Brannen's staff
Would Brannon keep Jaquon Parker for a little continuity?
I'm assuming most of Cronin's staff will follow him to L.A.
