Most only focus on the 4 Gospel and a few chapters of Acts. That is what most denominations teach on and avoid most of the NT books which are Epistles written directly to Gentiles and the churches teaching church doctrine.

The 4 Gospels are all about Jesus and the Jews, His message to them and the Kingdom He was offering them that they rejected.

The "church" and Christianity was not really born until after the 4 gospels in the book of Acts. And the Church did not transition from Jews to Gentiles until the midway point of Acts.

Romans, Ephesians, Galatians, 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Colossians, Philippians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, 1st and 2nd Thessalonians, Titus, Philemon, these are the books written specifically to the Gentiles teaching Church doctrine. As Gentile believers living in the church age, those books are SPECIFICALLY written to us.

Yet these are the books many Catholic and Protestant denominations mostly avoid and rarely teach doctrine from. Most Christians today are biblically illiterate outside of the Gospels.

Granted that may cause some to leave Catholicism, but whats important here is individual salvation and the Word of God, not a man made world wide institution.

The same can be said of any denomination...

Its absolutely can, but this thread was specifically about the Catholics, thus my post.

I wasn't trying to offend you. 04-cheers

How Catholics can sit in the pews and say nothing as one collective body while their clergy shoves their penises in little boys butts is beyond me.

Catholics tend to hold a special reverence for "the chruch" as an entity in and of itself and are very protective of it.

I've noticed they are often far more offended for the sake of Catholicism or the pope than Christ or the Gospel.

That's not to say there are not a lot of wonderful Christians within their denomination (there are), they just tend to value ritual and tradition strongly over Scripture. That makes it much easier to have unsaved people in the church, and not even aware they are unsaved. Many think they are saved through their rituals and practices or simply being an official member of the church.

This is NOT what is happening. The loudest voices for reform are from within the Church itself.

If you'd listened to Catholic radio at all in 2018, you'd know exactly what I mean. Although in 2019, now that the scandal has passed (really, it passed in the USA in 2006), they don't talk about it as much because we've started to view it as a problem that is under control.

There are no Catholics in Heaven, there are no Protestants in heaven.

The only people in heaven are those washed and saved by the Blood of Jesus.

God Bless
