Even though we owned Appy in The Big 3 sports, it isn't significant enough to make rings for. Sorry.

Y'all made rings for winning the Camellia Bowl, I would think you'd make them for anything at that point.

Every single winner in the Camellia Bowl's short history has had rings made including App State TWICE

To be fair, one of those actually did have a league title to accompany it:

Second one....yea. First one? Nope.

Also, the ring references back to back Camellia Bowls as well.

Look, I don't really see the issue with celebrating a bowl win, it's not like we're winning another national championship anytime soon. I think we can all agree a bowl win is at least something worth celebrating. It's not like we won 6 games and made a ring.

Guys we're just giving you hell, we all know both programs if they went 7-6 with a bowl win vs. any one the players would get a ring.

Is there an SBC team that won a bowl game that didn't get rings for players.

See my first post in this thread. Addresses everything you just said. I cringed at App State's issuance of rings for a bowl with no league title, too.

And you're right, at least it doesn't stoop to the level of a below .500 team issuing rings... yikes Panthers.

RE: Hoops and Helmets Ranking
Rings are cool. One of my friends was on the College Division* national champions UTA Rebels team of 1967. They didn't realize they were the national champions until after San Diego State's title was vacated for using an ineligible player. So our guys had their championship rings mailed to them after the fact. It's gold with a dark blue sapphire stone. Woohoo!

*At that time, there were only two divisions, university and college. You could say it was like FCS, since the teams had about 65 scholarships.
