Who could it be? I was thinking UAB might want the naming rights themselves. Any other guesses?

UAB Health Systems Stadium doesn't exactly sing.

How about UAB centered VIVA HEALTH? There might be a case for a Kirklin Memorial Stadium.

If it did, and conflicted with the Alabama game time, they would call a doctor.

Doctor Ray Watts, to shut down the program again.

That was the plan if UAB hadn't found someone to resell the naming rights to.

I don't know if the renderings are coming out tomorrow as well but I've heard they are not that great. We'll see. Hopefully my source was wrong.

Well, one rendering already floated on the media and which seems like an abomination with almost no seating on the 'home side' of the stadium can probably be viewed here: https://twitter.com/LaurenWalshTV/status...7956928513 . I looks like a downgraded version of the new Colorado State Univ. stadium that was shown in the denverpost, com web site back on march 28, 2018.

CSU football stadium posting online was shown here : https://www.denverpost.com/2018/03/28/co...um-design/ . If the new BJCC stadium had as much outdoor seating on the 'home side' as the CSU version, it would be an improvement over what was shown on the twitter site.

I think having less seating on the home side is intentional. They're trying to solve the image problem we currently have of everyone sitting on one side of the stadium with the TV cameras pointed at empty seats which make it look like no one's there.

I understand the shrinking the home side. However, it makes for some problems. Some people don’t care to sit in the end zone nor even from the 20 yd line to the end zone. You can’t tell what’s going on in the ball game without looking at the video board. This would be the opportune time to offer season tickets for the opposite side of the field. Make sure that you put the visitor seats in the corners and endzones, instead of risking your season ticket holders getting to sit in the middle of the visiting crowd like I’ve seen MTSU and USM fans having to do.

Of course, it works both ways. UAB fans are gonna have to step up and take those seats as a season ticket.

There is no visitors side with the new stadium. There will be a visitors section stuck in the corner. The rest of the seats are home seats.

All the renderings that are out there including the one Lauren put out there for her tweet are old renderings. The up to date final rendering has not been leaked or presented to the public yet. All of those renderings are "hey look at these" renderings until the finished product is done.

What I meant was the sideline where the Blazers will be situated as opposed to where the visiting team will be standing. The "home side" also will be the side where there are the suites, etc. But for those sitting on that side, not in the suites, it looks like the seating will be limited along the sidelines. Also, the opposite side of the stadium will probably be staring into the setting sun.

UAB Health Systems Stadium doesn't exactly sing.

UAB guaranteed the naming rights, so if they didn't find anyone to buy it, it would've been UAB related in some form or fashion

Nope. It’s gone generic now so the name means nothing.

Yep. Less seating in the press box side is intentional and needed. There are more stadiums like this than you think. UAB has tried to use discounted seating to sit ion the opposite side. The Iron appeared to have larger crowds because they spread out seating when in reality they were smaller. We need to get out of the home and visitor side mentality. Is there a visitor side at Bartow Arena? Nope. I can’t think of a stadium outside of a high school that has a hone and visitor side. Even Troy and JSU has visitor sections. Not sides.

This is almost as bad as the play in game rumor.

FWIW UAB already offers a season ticket on the opposite side. That’s where my seats are.
