Is SBNATION some glorified message board where fans of their own teams feel like they have published "articles"?

I think it’s interesting that they give us a lower chance of winning at App State (10%) than at Iowa State (14%)

Well that makes sense, I was confused. I reckon it is safe to assume you're talking about William A. Connelly of United States Army fame. I believe he was a Sergeant Major if I recall correctly.

I would imagine we'll see them as stAte, Troy, then App to finish it up the next few days.

Also interesting note, this is the first time the Sun Belt hasn't led off the previews since, as a conference, we finished ahead of the MAC and CUSA in S&P. Those two kicked off the previews ahead of us this year.

Have you actually read any of them? He does a really good job with these.

Football Study Hall is one of the best college football sites written by a "non-journalist," although at this point he could probably be considered that.

Connelly knows more about the game than a lot of people out there.

The S&P is a good system, but I'm not worried about where it has us.

5-7 FAU, 6-6 Miami Ohio, 5-7 Air Force, and 6-6 Wyoming are above us, and Clemson is #3 beneath Alabama and UGA.

That's one reason I like the Massey Composite. There are some bad ranking systems in there, but the different biases in there cancel each other out.

Historic data is what's killing us right now.

Updated OP with Troy, App State, and Ark State previews, and the power rankings. And fixed the UL link.

I'd be content with being the most improved team in the league this year as S&P+ projections have us. Even if that still means a 6th-7th place type finish.

Things Texas State has been missing:

- An offense
- Sacks

Correct those two issues and you could be looking at a Georgia Southern -esque swing. The talent is there but coaching decisions on the offensive side of the ball, as well as QB decision making pre-snap and during the play, were the demise of the 2018 Bobcats.

Georgia State football practices are closed to the public, so no one really knows whats going on.

What we do know
- New OC installing his new fast-tempo offense and terminology has everyone scrambling a bit.
- Dan Ellington is ahead of other QBs in terms of mechanics, skills, and execution.

. . . the 2015 Bobcats

. . . the 2014 Bobcats

etc.
etc.
etc.

It seems that the actual games are closed to the public as well.
