Bronco Baseball
Back from Spring trip (5-10) a week ago.

Home opener was cancelled last Tuesday. Lost two of three to Butler over weekend and single to U of M yesterday, so 6-13 now.

Open MAC play at home this weekend against Rich Maloney's Testicle Tech nine.

I'm hoping for good things this year from the Broncos. I hope the weather is going to be good this weekend. If I get out to the spring game tomorrow, I'll definitely go to Hyames Field to check the Broncos out.

College baseball on a warm, sunny, spring day is as good as it gets...particularly if you are able to purchase a GRILLED hot dog or brat (gotta have grilled, baby!).

The problem is the lack of warm, sunny, spring days in Michigan.

Definitely! I know I was just criticizng Andy Murray, but the basement that Bronco Baseball is in perpetually is old. If any coach needs to be fired here, it's the Bronco Baseball coach.

Lost to Ball St today, FYI people.

The Baseball program could head to a new low, I remember my sophmore year, we lost to Davenport at home!!!!! That was Randy Ford's last year, he was fired.

Perhaps but might not make a difference. Just no "juice" (for lack of a better word) around the program and hasn't been for some time.

RE: Bronco Baseball
I actually I like Billy Gernon. He's a definite upgrade from Randy Ford. He seems like a pleasant guy. I usually say hello to him at Football games. One thing I like about him is when we're playing in the MAC Tournament, we're a tough out. He gets the most out of us in that tournament!!! Plus I loved being there when they beat Kent State in 2016!!!

I think you were actually right-- pretty sure the series got moved because Hyames isn't ready yet.

Thanks, must've missed that announcement.

Hope we don't go a whole spring without any home games because of Hyames' condition like we did a few years ago.

Hey it's the main reason I didn't go to the spring game today. I thought after Football I was going to be able to take in a Baseball game. I don't understand how they can't get the field in some sort of playing shape. We put absolutely the bare minimum amount of money into our Baseball program!!!

If they can't get the field playable, they're putting even less money than that into the program.

Low flood plain, covered in shade from the trees most of the day... recipe for poor playing conditions and longer healing time than a typical baseball field.

There's almost not a worse spot short of being in the valley for the baseball field. At the bottom of a steep hill too.

Fair enough.

Don't schedule home games third week of March then.

A valley at the bottom of a steep hill sure also made a good spot for a football field....

I'm still shocked the turf survived that flood
