RE: NEW stadium construction
If waiting another year to get the scoreboard means they will build the new end zone next off season, Im all for waiting. It would be nice to have the end zone and scoreboard ready for
techs next visit.

IIRC that turf has about had it. I was glad to hear it was being replaced.

Yes, I remember reading that it was supposed to be replaced before last season, but they decided to wait until after construction to avoid it being damaged.

Surprised so little got done today. Only a small handful of workers on site. They've hoisted slabs before in heavier rain.

Living across the street from a major construction site in nova and not being an engineering guy I never New how much weather impacted everything. It’s been so damp throughout 2018 to 2019 things seem to come to a standstill.

Weather days are always incorporated into a schedule to make up for that, but there are a lot of safety concerns that come with inclement weather. For example, if the wind is blowing too much a crane is not safe to use (imagine Precast panels that weigh several tons being blown around while being hoisted by a crane - not good lol).

The problem is when you start to run out of weather day but usually the monthly average is pretty accurate for the most part

RE: NEW stadium construction
Anyone know what the men in the booms are doing? they seem to move around randomly and I'm assuming they are securing connections, but it's never clear how. Are they using bolts? I'm actually very surprised at how few tools you can see. Everything appears to be precisely measured and fits right into place. I'm guessing they use air compressors a bit to drive metal vconnectors and bolts.
Anyone got any info on this process?

The guys on the lifts are welders, riggers and mechanics. The cranes lift the pieces and the guys on the lifts weld and/or secure everything together. Yes everything is prefabricated and when it arrives they piece it together. I was watching onsite last weekend one of the final pieces on the last stair tower needed to be shaved a little bit.

It looks like it'll resemble the Ted and Harbor Park where you have to walk up stairs then down to your seats or up another flight of steps to get to the 2nd deck.

In this rendition you see the stairs (vomitorium) leading to the upper deck.

Then again maybe you just wanted to be funny by saying vomitorium.

Aren't there also 3 elevators planned? Gotta believe those can carry folks to the upper deck, too.

So 2 questions
What is that area near the scoreboard at the bottom? Handicapped area?
The gate by the garage (near the lion head) it's removed. I see turnstiles near the stadium. Seems like you should still have gates by the old entrance. What's keeps someone from hopping the beer garden wall?

Could be for the band. I'm not certain, I don't have any insider info.
