Well done coach. Checked off my last box. In his time here, off the top of my head:

1. Never finished worse than 5th in CUSA

2. First top 25 ranking in program history

3. NIT final 4

4. CUSA regular season championship

5. CUSA Title

Give the man his extension! He's recruited his azz off the last few years and we're stocked with talent for years to come! Let him finish what he's started. I love this team, but over the next few years we might look back at this squad as just the beginning.

I'm so proud to have JJ as our coach. He's had some tough breaks here, so it is great to see him get the breaks this year. Think about some of the other programs and be thankful we have JJ.

Yes sir. Beating VCU, winning the championship and winning a NCAA game (or four) would be the ultimate season.

He took over a 5-win train wreck. Remember talking to him the first year, said he couldn't believe how hard it was to recuit here. Congrats, we still have work to do.

Not many believed in us after benedict Porter left. But, we took it...and turned it into a title.

Great coach and the stability ODU needed after the Blain debacle. But most of all I desperately wish him a long and healthy life.

They were 6th in their first CUSA season but in the five years since, they’ve always been in the top 3.

I can't say enough about Coach Jones. Having completed cancer treatment at the end of last year, I am in awe of this man. To continue to coach his heart out while battling incurable cancer brings tears to my eyes. He is not just a great coach, he is an amazing human being. Jeff will continue to be in my prayers.

I also want to congratulate Jeff! He was never the guy I wanted, he certainly wasn’t a “sexy hire” and I truly did doubt whether he would get us to this point.

I am extremely happy that recruiting has improved, that our team toughness and defense is once again approaching Blaine Taylor territory and I’m glad we were finally able to close the show when it mattered the most!

Watching Jeff get choked up on the sideline was pretty emotional for me because of what my own mom is going through so the intensity and immediacy of what I was watching, a man going through a wide range of emotions, really hit home.

I am very happy for Jeff, for the team and for all of us, the fans, that we are represented by such a classy group of coaches and players. They genuinely seem to love each other and it showed in the post game.

Now with that said, TONIGHT WAS THE START, NOT THE END OF THE JOURNEY!!!

And I think you could see it in his face at the end of the game.

During the interview, he choked up when he talked about "how hard this year was" ... I knew that was about his battle with C.

And it's all about the glory for his players and seeing them achieve their goal.

It's heart wrenching.

Congrats to Coach Jones. What a year and what a heart this team has. I can't say enough good things about the effort Jones has given us. And his first move was to hire Bryant Stith! What a jewel that turned out to be. I wish Brandon was still on the team to help celebrate but he had a hand in this team helping to mold these young players we recruited.

Like all of you, I am really happy for Jeff Jones. He deserves every accolade that comes his way. But keep in mind, he needs one more very important win, and we should all keep him in our prayers to bring that win home. God bless, Coach.

Through it all, JJ has done well by us and I wish him the very best. JJ is a hero. We're back where we needed to be, because of him and the players he coached to great things. Now we just need to bag one more win. Maybe two or three. It is looking like a lucky year.

What an incredible journey for Coach Jones. He is a fighter, and this team certainly embodies that never-give-up spirit.

I think this was an NCAA or bust year, and to the big dance we go!!
