i came across all these names when looking at former Sun Belt basketball champions. I guess for UT Arlington fans, the ones we miss are our old SLC foes, UNT and LT. We were in the WAC for a while with Denver, but not long enough to forge a rivalry. Were there some other schools formerly in the 'Belt that were never basketball champs?

None of them. I like the slate we have now better than any previous combination.

None. I hated all of them equally

In football, MTSU and WKU.

Good riddance. Most of them thought they were too good for us. I really like the current make-up of our league. They're the ones who lost out.

MTSU and WKU. It would be nice to have more schools who care about basketball.

LOL. Not what I meant but I get your point. My Who? was for all the goobers who thought they were better and wound up in the marketz league. You reap what you sow. I really like where the Sun Belt is right now. A good mix of talent and King Karl is retiring. Things are looking good right now.

Charlotte could also be added to the list, I suppose...although there probably aren't a lot of fans on here who ever shared a conference with them (not sure atm when they left...).

Like others, I would like to have MTSU and WKU for their hoops. The Hilltoppers, especially (we never actually shared the Belt with MT). WKU had some good posters, too (like dahbeed). I also like the idea of being associated with the other big state urban schools, even if the Florida pair don't hold a ton of appeal for me.

Overall, though, I'm pretty darn happy with the current setup of the Belt.

I loved our relationships with Louisiana Tech and Western Kentucky. Middle to a lesser extent.

I like the schools we have.

If I had to pick, I'd take LT. Close and with a nice sports heritage.

I miss UNT though we didn't share the Sun Belt together.

I just want a Texas school here (playing football, as the rest of the sports are barely casual acquaintances of mine).
