Chad Spann, Jake Coffman and their cohorts so deserved a MAC championship. Still hurts that they didn't.

That thumbnail is my favorite clip in that video. Blocked punt with huge crowd in background. That day will always be haunting though because it was right around the time that young lady was murdered in Dekalb

I didn’t remember Lynch wearing 14. Fun season even though Grady started at Iowa State. Could have won that game but that might be what it took to light a fire under Harnish.

JL wore 14 first two years. As a prelude the EMU game was the ultimate. Two 70+ TD runs right through the middle of the defense untouched.

Not everyone here is from Philly, and our expectations are quite a bit different than for the Eagles.

He said he likes Philly because people tell it like it is while Midwesterners put a bow on it. Also acknowledged NIU’s expectations as unfair and outrageous but added he likes it that way because that means the fan base is passionate rather than apathetic. Wishes more people attended. Called himself a kid in a candy store to play on Saturday’s again. Loves coaching at a blue collar school like NIU or Temple.

Really good article. Some NIU fans interjected in the comments.

I miss the Huskie logo helmet also!!! Does Coach Hammock have the power to make the switch?

I am sure NIU paid big $$ for some asshat marketing consultant tell them it would be beneficial to use simply the NIU for branding purposes. Did it help in any facet?

Bummer they didn't get the MACC but they have nothing to be ashamed of. We all saw how good they were.

I miss the Huskie logo too. I have liked it since the day it was unveiled.

That block NIU logo is just bland imo. Unfortunately it fit Rod Carey's style and offense.

But now there is a new sheriff now in town...so change it back please.

Unwatchable video quality, but I knew a few fans here got a kick watching this stream with some of the comments of the EMU announcers

Although last year's offense was pretty hard to watch.

It's all because EMU got rid of that ugly green field and installed the gorgeous new gray carpet.

Rod Carey was a beast. Would’ve been amazing if he called out the “Fire Rod Carey” shouters from Detroit in the article.
