When you recruit someone to your school, it's about your school and your town. Not about the # of prospects your state produces.

Well, you said "Louisiana is a hotbed", so you must think that's at least somewhat important.

And if recruits want "vibrancy" watch out because Coastal, South Alabama, and Georgia State are going to take over the conference from the rest of us who are in the sticks pretty soon.

I don't have any kind of notion in my head that Statesboro is going to be high on the list of Sun Belt cities to visit by fan bases in the conference, but high school athletes aren't looking at them the same way we do.

I can see an argument for Louisiana ahead of App, but not Arkansas State.

Then you should open your eyes. The Athlon view is the same view most outsiders would have across the country if asked the same question. It may not match up with your opinion but that's just how it is.

What is the larger paycheck and better facilities you are referencing?

This is up to opinion but for me I would put Texas St as the best job. The facilities are top notch, a great state to recruit and the potential seems endless. Others are much more established but if I was looking for a job the low expectations and upside would be EXTREMELY attractive.
