If only we could bring back a quality opponent like Presbyterian!
I was very disappointed by the Presbyterian crowd. Not the number, as I guess 100+ fans for an enrollment of 1100 700+ miles away is pretty damn good for a road game.
More disappointed in that I didn't see any Blue Hoes among them.

It was torrential downpour around the 2nd Quarter of Presbyterian. Pretty sure everyone left at half.

I have certain standards to attend games. I am the ultimate fair weather fan. Not too cold. No rain or snow. Sunshine prefereed and over 60 degrees also preferred.

My wife bought me an official MACtion survival kit for Christmas: electric socks and gloves. They probably still won't be enough to be comfortable during those November games.

Me too. I will not sit in inclement weather. What the hell kind of fun is it to watch a game in a driving rain storm or temperatures so cold that there is a threat of frostbite or death? How can you even concentrate on watching the game when you sit there shivering and extremely uncomfortable? That's what a nice warm living room with a clear path to the refrigerator is for. Personally, I think that people who sit in such inclement conditions have a few brain cells missing. The fat cats and NIU administrators all sit in the Skybox, eat food, and laugh at the peons who actually sit outside in those conditions.

I remember the Presbyterian game as being rainy but I had a raincoat. It didn't seem cold or that windy IIRC. On the other hand, I stayed for the whole WMU game that year when it was really cold. So I'm not entirely sane.

Wow I have no idea how you made it through that game. Its the only game I've ever left early because of the weather. I felt especially bad leaving that game since I believe it was Lynch's Huskie Stadium farewell.

The Western Michigan game I did a lot of walking around, would have been too cold to sit still. And also went beneath the stands during timeouts.

While I was in my shorts and T-shirt, sitting on my recliner sofa in 74 degree temps, sipping on beer and eating snacks, and looking at the smart people at the game on the verge of frostbite or worse. Plus, I had another advantage: if the Huskies played like crap and were losing, I could always change the channel to a rerun of Andy Griffith. If people just could not stay home, going to a bar would have been a better option. Heck, sitting on the toilet and watching the game on your phone would have been a better option.

They need fans in the stands. It wasn't so cold that frostbite was any concern. If it was 0 degrees out I wouldn't have been out there, unlike thousands of NFL football fans.

Haven't been to a November game yet that wasn't manageable. Gear up, put in hand and foot warmers, grab a nice cold Polyanna IPA from concessions (which will never get warm mind you), and have at it. Rather be at the game live and in person than watching at home on my sofa!

I stayed for both games also, so count me in on not being entirely same. haha
